I use the Masterbiult Electric Smoker. I like it alot. They came out with a newer model spring. Much better they fixed the heating element. BPS should stock them.

I have a bradley electric smoker. Easy to operate, and the food turns out great. But the briquets are expensive and you have to keep it out of the wind or the temp. won't come up high enough.

My neighbor (yeah, that one) brought his bradley over last weekend and we cooked ribs - I was considering that until I saw how much the biscuits were, and how it ate through them. It got a lot of negative reviews as well.

Been loving my CookShack smoker (Smokette 1) for the past 13-years. Its smoked hundreds and hundreds of pounds of wild salmon, not to mention all the meat, hot peppers and holiday roasts that its served up too.

One of the best appliances I've ever purchased...

Has plenty of positive reviews on Cabelas. Biscuits are about $20 for 50 and it uses 8-10 in a 4-6 hour smoke. :meh:

Might just stay with my offset smoker / grill - I can stay at 225 pretty easily. Just have to open it up and move things around more than I want.

this may have been covered. Go with elect a gas fired smoker add moisture to the smoke so the skin on a pig does not get as crunchy in a smaller application. gas can add unwanted flavor to the food also when the burner get dirty...

One thing you can do to help the set and forget is to make sure what you have is sealed really well. That's usually what makes them such a pain.

Go buy a Weber Smokey Mountain if you don't want to screw with your smoker a lot.

hey guys I found this. Looks like if you add a few more grills you could smoke more meat at once.

How to make a Smoker from a Trash Can

This is what I'm going to do tomorrow.

Monday Update:
$45 to make it. Already made about 6 lbs of jerky. Works excellent. Save money, make your own.
