Can't read this thread without commenting. It took me about 2 weeks to catch up.

Scrapdaddy, your commitment to the project is unparalleled. You almost make it sound fun :). Your ability to design, adapt and troubleshoot are lessons we all should learn. Thanks for posting and taking us on this journey. I love the original look with the customization for your needs.

Not sure if I should have read this before my project? Yes because the MUD HEN may be the ultimate ride and certainly there are many ideas to duplicate. No because I'm better off sticking within my budget, skill level and time frame. This is what makes it fun.

Good luck on your adventures.

yep, ruined it for us, but made us all reach a little further

Yes he is, and yes there are several others. The 55’s that we’re built during the 20-teens pretty much blew everything previously built out of the water.

being relatively new to pigs, owning a few, none nice, i am in ah of what these people have done, they all deserve my respect(maybe a little quirky), thank you all for doing the heavy lifting

Wow, Thanks so much. It's been a fun hobby putting something together just the way you want and finally getting to use it is icing on the cake. I like learning from others and seeing what I can do. A big part of my day is seeing what all you guys are doing, it's like building another one without spending the money. :)

While I'm still waiting for the hydro boost system I did manage to get the camping box built. It will house all the kitchen items, my tools and whatever else we can fit in. Airplane track on the sides for strapping down stuff on top and securing it to the floor. #500 slides with a 36" travel should handle anything I put in there. I never called myself a wood worker, but my Dad is and while I was working on his old Craftsmen table saw I could still hear him telling (teaching) me so many things that went in one ear and out the other. Little did I know it all came back when I started up that saw and realized I knew how to make dado and rabbit joints because of him.

Drawer dividers in each so she can make them the size she wants. I still need to get the drawer fronts anodized, but that's it.

That's what Dad's do Ron! You know that , your kids will say the same. Mine taught me no matter what you do every day it involves math!! Walking to the car or driving to the store involves math!! You may think it goes in one ear 👂😏 and out the other. Dad knew better , he knew you would retain it the rest of your life 😉🍺. I remember my Dad would get Pissed if you didn't look at him when he was talking to you 😳😊😉. I would reply that I can do two things at once 😳😊😉🤣🤔. Then all was Cool 😎😎🍺🍺.

I'm still waiting on the hydroboost system, but other stuff is coming in..

Toyo M/T 255/85/16 and the National Luna beer cooler...

The cooler will sit right where the rear seat would be, just like it's sitting now in front of the camping box.

Getting closer!

What size is that cooler Ron?, and special reason for choosing?

It's their 72 Liter with dual zones. You can set it for two freezers, two refrigerators or one of each. I know a smaller size would work, but this one fits the spot and can hold a few more beverages and meat. The price wasn't that much more and I'm not real worried about amperage usage. Solar panels in the future.
