Luv my Metal Tech sliders, so do the kids and wife because of the step factor. Just FYI, they are having a cyber Monday sale on em....

I had the tucked sliders on my FJ and they worked fine for underside protection by there were quite a few times I wished I had that bump out protection.

Slee is a great product, but you won't be disappointed by the MT's. It's a great product. Let me know if you want any other pictures of them.

Any pics of the MT sliders would be appreciated.

Shipping to Monterey County CA. Any guesses of cost (and any one close by? Someone is in "the 408" I think. )

Thanks. That Monday sale is interesting...

Damn...I just saw the $200 off deal on the MT sliders. I am going to revise my previous comment and say that if I were buying in the immediate future, I would 100% go with the Metal Tech sliders... And at $600, they are a phenomenal bargain...I may just pick them up anyways and sell the WKORs...TaylorO...Wanna buy some sliders?

I live in MS and would be interested in getting in on a group freight shipping if possible...

Really like the MT sliders... but wonder if they're going to be an ongoing hassle to keep "empty". They look like they'll collect lots of debris, mud, etc. Haven't seen the backside of the others. Just envisioning having to do the reach-around with the hose at bath time.

Haven't had any problem, although I'm not one for getting into deep mud. I can tell you that they do a pretty good job of shielding the side of the vehicle from rocks/debris. I have a pic on my camera at home from last weekend in the snow. Sliders were covered with grey slush and the lower door panels were completely bare.

Some debris gets inside but it doesn't hurt the slider. We pay the extra money to have the sliders sandblasted, and double powder coated for extra protection against elements.

Attention to detail right there. If Mike at BIOR wasn't so close to me, I'd give a really, really hard look at those. Not having to pay shipping is a big price offset for me though, and having them tweaked to accomodate the body lift is a plus.

Just drive out to Oregon next summer. We'll put them on and go wheeling!

And if they were totally boxed, I'd complain they were too heavy ?

I think I'll grab a set of these... Monday!

Just fill in that channel with expanding spray foam. This mod would weigh next to nothing and prevent debris from getting trapped back there.

Pontoons! Throw some v-paddle tires on and you'll have an LC boat.

I was gonna hold out for the Slee Step Sliders, but the MT deal on the 28th may very well make me jump ship. That is a great price.

Combine that with Camel4x4's coupon code for Friday and my credit card may just suffer a nuclear meltdown :grinpimp:

I have Hanna Quality tucked sliders on my 80 and BIO step sliders on my 100. Hands down the step sliders design is a more functional product. It’s much easer getting in and out of the truck now. BIO’s step sliders stick out quite a bit making for a large step. I like this feature because it pushes the rig away from rock walls and you get a bigger stepping surface. This is really beneficial when you are exiting the truck especially for the people in the back seats. On my 80 getting out the back seat is a pain and your foot can slip off the tube. Also one thing to remember you don’t lose any ground clearance with a step slider because the main rail is in the same place with either design. I however do not think a step slider looks as cool as the angled up ones do. If I had to do it all over again for my 80, it would be step slider all the way.

I think I am going with the MT sliders. I had them on the 80 and they are the real deal. I have seen the entire truck lay on one rail and it don't give a s*** (like a honey badger).

The cyber sale on Monday 11/28 has bit me. Now, if we can organize some group freight to TX...https://forum.ih8mud.com/ih8mud-com-vendor-marketplace/535248-metal-tech-4x4-cyber-monday-specials.html

Anyone else from TX/OK going to take advantage of this offer? Even Louisiana might be somewhat economical....

I don't even have a 100 yet, but I'm looking at a nice one today. Heck, I might even get in on the deal because I know I'll have one soon.

Ha, I like this idea! My wife does have some family up in WA, Moses Lake/Pasco area. Perhaps a short family visit then a swing southwest on 84 for a long wheeling visit...

Problem is, my wife doesn't like those family members much!:lol:

Didn't one of the whiteknucle sliders Brock has get bent into the body of his LX? I'm not sure if it was from a blow by a rock or if they were used as a jacking point with a Hi-Lift jack or something. In any event I saw these in person and I thought the BIO sliders were a visibly stronger looking product. I know WK also makes different versions of their sliders too and the LX sliders from most vendors only have a couple mounting points vs. 3 mounting points for LC's. This could play into strength I would guess... I do like those Metal Tech sliders tho. They look nice and were not available when I purchased mine.

This deal is $100 less than the introduced promo. Can't see how it will ever go lower.

We need two slider sets per pallet to gain savings on freight.

Don't think it was Brock. I haven't heard this this one yet. Not trying to make myself sound like a hardcore rock crawler but if anybody out there has bent a WK it would of been me at URE or RiverRock. I could see the LX version of any slider getting bent easier than the LC, but a well designed slider shouldn't, regardless of 2 or 3 feet

I am getting serious about this. I will have a 100 one day and the running boards are coming off immediately. Damn!

I'll PM you if I decide to pull the trigger.
