I like the tubed step style from White Knuckle but the Metaltech cyber monday special is tempting too!

Decisions decisions. I just spoke to John at White Knuckle and he told me they redesigned their slider for the 100 series. I think I'll hold off on MT cyber monday special.

This is tough cause I hate having to drive a stock LC and waiting. Ready to start modding now!:bounce:

Interesting, do you know what White Knuckle changed?

That special will only be for today, pretty surprised that the offering is lower than the initial run offering that I got in on but it is what it is. MT sliders are the deal!

I don't know bro but give a John a call. He seemed real appreciative that I'm holding off MT sliders to see what he's got coming.

Santa's making a stop in Charlotte, NC with a special delivery from MetalTech. I do believe that LT and the MT crew have sold a few of these sliders at this price ... :grinpimp:

FWIW, as of about 3 hours ago MT had 12 or so orders in today. Since they have to make another production run, the expected shipping time is 3-4 weeks, no payment processed until shipped -- if this helps with holiday budgets at all. :)

Just placed an order.....they have received no less than 20 orders for 100 sliders today.....

Plus 1...I ordered a set but didn't ask how many sets had been ordered today.

The website will keep taking Metal-tech orders up to midnight tonight. We will not have them this low price wise and with the free ARB tow strap again. We have blown through our inventory so new orders as of 5PM PST will be made over the next 3 weeks. However as we always do, we do NOT bill your card until your sliders ship. So order now and you will not be billed until they are getting ready to go out.

KEY points on MT sliders:

Custom laser cut 3/16" and formed main bodies, putting 4 formed edges to the outside for maximum strength. We then put ribs on the back, so that the slider main bodies are built allot like an aircraft wing. Not off the shelf box tube here.

DOM-SRA Rub rails, no HERW here. Also our rub rail design that we developed and have used for all our wagon sliders since 04', was awarded a US Trade Mark this past summer. (Rear trapezoid with the front rail coming into it to brake up the traditional one rail rounded kick out, much cleaner)

Our mounting pads at the frame are not just a flat plate. We laser cut each foot out of 1/4" steel then form each vertical side of the mounting foot. When you crank down the mounting U-bolts the mounting foot will evenly distribute the pressure, vs. a mounting foot that is just a "pad" with no vertical bracing that will deform and put un-even pressure on your frame.

Our powder coat process is the most expensive way but the best. Full sand blast, dip, bake, double powder coat and bake. Then ship on custom made pallets for Metal-tech 4x4 sliders.

Metal-tech 4x4 is a small company, however we are staffed with 5 full time professionals dedicated to Toyota Land Cruisers for the past 12 yrs. We don't do this "part time" for extra cash and we advertise our commercial address. We have supported the TLCA since 1990, in fact our company TLCA number is 1137. When Woody first started ih8mud, we were the first Land Cruiser company to put a banner up, and have supported MUD non stop. We have supported TLCA events like Cruise Moab, GSMTR, Coal Miner, Rubithon, Round Up, Black Hills, etc. for years and will continue to do so. Building parts is one thing, but building unique leading parts and supporting our Land Cruiser community is another.

We appreciate everyone who have helped and who is continuing to make our first Cyber Monday sale a huge success.

Reading helocat's post had me pulling out my credit card and browsing to the MT site before realizing that I have almost brand new sliders.

Anyone local interested in some WKOR sliders?

- Sent from a very small supercomputer.

Ordered my Mt sliders @ 7am this morning! Wow, 20+ orders. Not bad for a single days worth of orders.

Can't wait to get these! I am thrilled with the price I paid. Bismarck and I combined our shipping to Denver and saved a grip of cash on top of an already super deal! It's nice to support a company that supports us in return.

Normally, I like to spend my money as locally as possible, but this deal was way too good to pass up. Thanks to Brandon at Metal Tech for answering all my questions during what must have been a VERY busy day!

Slider install party at my house in 3-4 weeks. Plenty of  in the garage fridge!

Ordered for the 100 Series at 2050 CST. Build 'em!

Do you mean patent?

Its a Trade Mark since its for how the rail looks or style. Much like the shape of a Coke bottle, that is also a TM for how it looks. (In general materials, etc. does not matter, its how it looks that makes a TM.) There have been other ways since the 60's to make the kick outs, we developed this distinctive style yrs ago to be unique. In our opinion it looks much better than a traditional large rounded kick out or wedge. It costs more to produce but we don't use cost as the main guiding factor in Metal-tech 4x4 products. Its important to have good value of course, but if it costs more to make a better product, we generally do it. In the short term its not always profitable doing business this way. However we are in this business for the long haul and do what we do since we truly enjoy what we do. I think that comes through with our products and service.

Yes, yes we have! And will continue to do so. Wow this year I think we set a record, close to a doz kegs coast to coast. Furthest East was Great Smokey Trail Ride in TN and furthest West was the All Call FJ Cruiser event in Apple Valley CA. Oh and a few Metal-tech 4x4 pint glasses (like 1100 this year) given out across the US.

Jason, reading helocat's post makes me want to change my mind even though I don't have a 100 yet...

Still can't, damn!

Ok....... how do I get a pint glass thrown in with the sliders I ordered today? Or, maybe it would be wiser to ship the glass in another box. What's better than beer?
