Slee Front Bumper

So sounds like I would be all set with just tightening the T-bars if I were to get the bumper only (and possibly some cool off-road/driving lights).

What about if I were to also get a winch in addition to the above, any thoughts on what additional changes would l need to make?

I have an ARB Sahara Bull Bar and Warn 9500 lb winch on my 1998 LX. It was fine for a long time without adjustment to the torsion bars, but it did make it work hard. I recently tightened the torsion bars right up and it is much better.

You should be fine with the bar and winch up front on AHC. Tighten the TBs though, and if you can, measure the pressure in the AHC system to make sure the TBs are adjusted correctly. That is, so that the AHC runs at the same pressure as if the bar and winch weren't mounted.

The suspension wont be as good as original, because it still has to dampen a larger mass, but it will be fine.

This is very helpful. So sounds like it can be done, though the end result may be a bit of a compromise (I suppose it often is.)

I will look for info on how to measure the AHC system pressure next...

Products look great. I vote that you add this "special bosses" color to your available colors. I looks similar to the current bumper color of my black 2005! I would pay extra for it.

I'm thinking of making the trip over the hill to look at some of your stuff in person, one question for everyone. What are your real world experiences with gas mileage after the installation of these bumpers, and OME 2.5" lift?

Problem is that with colors, you never have the right color in stock. Henry Ford figured that out as well

Also that gray has clear coat over it so more than double the powder coat cost. In the past we had some issues with the clear delaminating, so I am hesitant to offer that.

I would agree. Black sounds good, after all my truck is mostly black already. If black is the only color choice it probably wont be a deal breaker.

without the clear coat it would look weird, as in metallic but not shiny.....like the rest of my truck . I have/had one of christos "Bosses special" bumpers. When the clear started coming off it looked weird. Go with the black, it's MUCH more durable. That's how my bumper is now.

You know I was set on a ARB front bumper but the Slee is really growing on me. Christo you need to get this thing shipping before I change my mind again!

Will the winch solenoid be located inside the bumper? Can you access the winch clutch handle?

Ok, the Slee has officially grown on me and is the front runner over the ARB bullbar. Now just the arduous wait until the end of Feb when they start shipping...

I'm really curious to see a final production one in black.

This bumper is designed for the Warn 12K correct?
