I know, I was just busting your balls!

Really wasn't trying to cut in on your action. Most times when someone posts up looking something is because they don't have it. I wasn't looking for a discount since I already have enough running boards. Since I was just offering to help I will that back.
Carry on

I have a nice set of the shorty ones if need be.. i'm now holding out for these longer repro's. So I can dig out the shorty ones if needed to send off.. And I think I could arrange free mudship later this spring to tx. Only if needed and sounds like you have plenty of offers.

Need me one of them.

Are/can you make these with the diamond plate tread pattern??

Have you come up with a cost?

Thanks

Yes I can make them but they will be out of 14 gauge cold roll steel.
As far as price for the ones in this thread I am waiting for the rubber to get here to come up with a price. It's going to be as original as what came from the factory. They look real nice!;)

was the original rubber white only? or did they have black? the crusty set I have here has white.. well white crumbles.

i'm ok with white if it's "vintage" just like the old cars with white interior, gonna be kinda hard to keep clean.. Didn't know if black was offered back then. Keep up the good work.. gonna have to save my pennies, we have steps and hubcaps coming round the bend.. Sadly i have originals of both but they're rough and not worth the time with new stuff on the horizon.

How close are the fj45 ones to the fj40- hole pattern? FJ40 have the hard diamond plate surface vs the rubber. If they are different I'd be ok with the captured nuts and the support stiffener left blank with no slot/whole cut out.

Chinredneck I think your wanting plain ol running boards that are avail everywhere.. Many of us have those stacked up like cordwood. The ones in this thread were only on the very old trucks and unobtanium. Newer trucks went to the stamped diamond plate, the vintage iron was like the pictures in this thread.
You can find what your looking for at any of the major vendors or in the TLCA magazine go to the vendor section and look. The hole patterns are the same and while we could use the newer stamped style many of us are anal and what what was original to our trucks thus this opportunity arouse. If you are having trouble finding running boards for your style while we can help we are going old school here.

Thanks for the info tornadoalleycruiser. Didn't realize this was FJ45 forum, at first.

Anybody have any 40 boards in decent shape for sale?

1980 should have the ones with the notch in the side for the body seem, earlier ones didn't have that and are smooth where they mount to the tub.
be certain you get the ones you need.

try the classifieds section, sub section, wanted items
