stock gears as well? if so how do you find it in the mountains?

Yes stock gears, a750 auto.

Not much different than 33s, both downshift to 4th to maintain speed, 3rd to accelerate. 35s rev a bit higher than 33s.

But for highway, it gives me 16.9 mpg of pure highway driving, hand calculated, twice, love it!
It revs lower than 31s and 33s, obviously, mostly 1800 rpm at 100km/h.
For city, maybe worst than 31s haha!

Mostly alone in the car, with overland gear.
So if u have family or towing, i can think you'll need to regear, but try it first!

I'm running Lee's old set of 34s (285/75/17) and have no complaints. I haven't felt a need to regear, though I'm sure there'd be some benefit. Imo, I think it's the perfect size for these trucks.

I'm going to 35s when my current Toyos wear down in a few months.

You’re on 295/18’s right?

See Post #70 in this thread

Is it worth it for 1/2”?

285/75/17 currently.

I've argued a lot in my life over a half an inch. Why stop now? 🤣

Do 295/70/18 (34.5") count? Still on AHC, no lift but re-geared to 4.88
