The eject button, installed. Can't wait for my next new passenger...

Being unique wasn't my goal, I was just looking to make an unusual mod into a conversation piece. It has worked. Amaurer gets the credit for making the knob (thanks again man). BTW, he's making old style shifter knobs for 5 speeds as well as transfer case shifter knobs showing 2 low. Check his stuff out...

A real plug contains a link to the aformentioned person's webpage...:D

Does anyone know what goes in that blank spot where Tofu put the eject button?

Thanks Kurt! In a week, you'll barely see any yellow. Getting those bushings in those shocks by hand was not exactly easy...

I was going to suggest OME from Cruiser Outfitters-good call. You got those bushings in without using a vice? Damn!

This will surely get me flamed, but I must confess to having retard strength. I got those bushings in by hand (with no added lube or other cheat) and that's not supposed to be doable. Had I known that, I would not have tried, but I assumed it could be done, and so I did.

"I think I can, I think I can" is my life's motto.

I would never say never, but the likelihood of me going SOA is about as likely as me buying a brand new (200-series) cruiser.

Those are pretty. Exterior temp instead of a pyrometer? Not planning on doing a turbo?

Betting that is exhaust temp :D

That does say x100 under the needle, doesn't it? Man, I'm batting 1000 today:rolleyes:

I will add a boost gauge later, now, just the oil pressure, water temp and EGT. I may also do an oil temp when I turbo, but that's now getting into a butt load of extra gauges...

These are decent quality, (7 color) LED backlit. Can't dim them, but I might try to put a dimmer in them, if that's possible...

Never heard of an exterior temperature gauge. That's called a thermometer, and they are usually stuck to the dash. :flipoff2:

i had a glow shift boost gauge, it rattled and made noise almost as soon as i got it. I have since replaced with Napa's cheap gauges. Just a heads up you might want to hold on to your reciepts.

Cruiser looks sweet! Im digging the sticker!

I started a thread about that sticker. Mind you it was in chat, but the general consensus is that it is ghey.

I'll see how those gauges go. I have already opened them up, and the guts seem OK, decently built. Did they vibrate loose?

The pod I chose sucked big time, the dash mounted one with the lip:

Then I exchanged it for this one: Universal Triple Gauge Single Din Radio Face Pod

It was even worse. The metal used is like...well...s***. You could bend it by staring at it really hard. Total garbage. I would not spend $3 on it.

So, I am going to make one, probably from a plastic cutting board. This way I will be able to slowly whittle the holes so that they are tight.

I do NOT want an A-pilar gauge pod, I think they belong on ricers.
