Since I recently realized that I actually have a whole month and not just a week between this and STLCA annual meeting, I am thinking I may try to make this if it is still ok to tag along with you GA boys. Who knows we may have a propane fired zuk to break in by then. :steer:

i think y'all will fit in just fine

How do full width axles rigs do on this trail?

Roger took his 40 on it and I believe he is running 60 axles like you...

shall we start the Walden's ridge debate again?
Why don't we just post a link to the GSMTR thread and call it a day?

Are you asking for you or for Adam? Either will make it just fine, but Adam's stickies will help take the extra pucker factor away from the few sections that his width will hurt him. He'll be using them just like rock climbers use their "stickies". ;)

what fun would that be? FYI-- John is now in so that makes 5 bigger tire rigs going in addition to the wagon guys assuming you get your rig there...somehow.

The plan right now for the "Friday morning" crowd is to shoot up there Thursday evening and get there about 7-8ish CST as opposed to early Friday.

I was hoping there would be a Thursday evening crowd. I may drive up then with you guys.

This probably makes no difference but in case anyone mixed out Dixie Run is at GMP the same weekend as this.

Awesome. That should mean WR will be much less crowded.

don't have a firm plan yet but come on. I suspect we're gonna try to make it well north of ATL before 5:00.

I am not sure with all the poop I have been dealing with lately if the 80 will make the drive, but I am definitely hoping to come up and see if I can occupy a spare seat if any are available. Maybe try out Ted's new oh s*** handles :)

caught this bit of info on the Knoxoffroad site last night posted just a few days ago. Apparently they are in the process of reclaiming the coal pile at the intersection of Trail 3 and 40, I didnt even recognize until the 1:25 mark of the video when i saw the rock face to the right, this is where Steve crawled up it at idle a year or so ago right after installing his triple cases.

The pic of from GSMTR '13.

I think this would be coming up from above Trail 40 toward trail 3 at the coal pile. If you remember you would continue past the coal pile (on your left) and hang a right on Tr 3 within a few hundred yards. From what I understand they rerouted trail 40 from below the pile to somehow bypass this section. bummer!

This and the above post could put a dent on the trail we want to run next month. Looks like the Rail Trail area has gotten hammered by all the rain this year. I hope they have gotten it cleared up or will in the next few weeks.

Also... Apparently there's an issue with how you get to the trail head of Tr 39

From the Trail supervisor of Windrock on 6/11/13 ...
"Gravel 39 is blocked with a Landslide. The area affected is between the Exit of Cadillac Hill and the beginning of Trail 39."

This is that long arse gravel road that we all took pics of the windmills from and how we have always gotten to the trail head of 39. From GSMTR '13

Do it. Don't see any changes as far as schedule, that is, unless there's a monsoon hitting that weekend. Don't worry about the trails, there are plenty to ride and the above wouldn't really effect you anyway.
