Just wanted to drop a note to thank everyone who puts on any event, be it SAS, Rubithon, RoundUp or beers in their driveway. The Toyota Land Cruiser community really is a great group of folks that really care about sharing knowledge and good times. Whatever you want out of an experience, at least you’re doing it in style in a TLC or close relative.

And thanks to @woody for providing a place for us to come together.

I am trying to stay on the ball and get the podcast things that need to be done, namely keeping the podcast going until SAS#10, the sponsorship obligations completed and ready to go, for me pretty much keeping the podcast going and getting the calendar completed and printed out as to have a couple to donate to the raffle, and getting my land cruiser ready to go as to not have any mechanical issues. And people say that I have ADHD ( shocker I know) I have been ordering parts to get fixed what needs to be fixed. I have got the calendar done and put together I just need to clean up the pictures so that they are not so grainy as they were last year. Then after that send it to the printer, actually a 40 series owner that I have done work for in the past. I have a car show tomorrow for my son's high school and a relic run next week that is going to be a shake down for SAS#10. then it is getting to work and getting it all done.

My rig is in ready shape 😎 but Aug. is still a ways off and I have other runs planned including the Rubithon.
Plenty of time to break Sh*t

If you'd like me to prefight your print files for you, Dan, just let me know. I'd be happy to look at your files, edit photos and make any adjustments before they go to press. That's my "real" job.

Shoot me a text if interested.

Whatever you do, don’t let Tim talk you into downloading the Adobe Suite.

I emailed you the file over the weekend

I'm assuming you guys are waitlisted now? Just got a FZJ80 last week and this gives me time to baseline it before heading out to the San Juans (I had a rental Jeep a couple years out there during LCDC and did all the major trails except Imogene and Black Bear - not allowed in rentals)

Yes waitlist is active and there were over 70 on the list last I had heard.

Congrats on your 80!

Those who are towing their rigs to Ouray do you flat toe, vehicle dolly, or flat bed. We are going to rent/borrow a truck to tow Uma there I have a tow bar But my dad Is saying that we should get a car trailer or dolly.

40 fits nicely on a U-Haul. That’s normally what I do.

Drive it.
It’s 10 hours.

Makes me wonder what the farthest drive someone to SAS has made?
I say we don’t count the guy in the high roof 70 that @Bryan picked up last year, what was his name?

Do any easterners drive out regularly?
I’m 21 hours to Ouray assuming interstate and coming in on 50 not Stony.

Car trailer all the way, that way you have brakes. A 40 can push a full size truck if the roads are wet. Plus it is a lot safer.
