I have decided to go with these mounts for the brake lines on links. They are from poly performance. Pic 1.

Since I was ordering some stuff anyway I asked the sales guy what he had and he recommended those.
$15 for 5... Why not.

Finished the link mount gussetting .
Mocked up the exhaust. It turns out that the walker muffler is not too loud after all.

Jrob got me a nitrogen tank, so why I was ordering crow racing harnesses from poly, I had them throw in a 450psi regulator($100) and 3500lb hose with chuck ($60), and a syringe ($3 ..no brainer) to measure the oil for the airshocks.

Carolina driveline is working on my single U joint driveshafts with .188 wall thickness ( $198 each). Tom, from Carolina driveshaft, that this thickness could produce some vibes at 60 mph. I said I don't think that will be a problem. He said a thinner walled drive shaft would be better for high speeds since it would resist vibes better than a thicker walled one would. I hope not to exceed 5 mph on the trail anyway ; )
Went with single u joints for better flex and was actually cheaper than a double Cardon. We will see how they hold up.

Tranny tunnel is still a head scratcher till I get the cable shifters in and mount em. Hopefully they will be in this week.

I came home yesterday expecting them to have drank all my beer.....I offered. I guess they decided not to stay up drinking.

Looks good Leonard.

Thanks, Nolen, for the offer, but we found some. Really enjoyed staying at your place. Thanks again!

Lenny, enjoyed working on sheetmetal. Very time-consuming and tedious work. I forgot to bolt the windshield wiper fluid reservoir back in, so please pardon me

Thanks for all the hospitality from the Rossand the Grogan families!

Off with his head! ; )

Anytime you guys are down, y'all have a place to stay!

The sheet metal work you and Brian did came out great and saved me a bunch of time!

Thanks again guys!

Lenny,

I'm pretty sure the Pull-A-Part has a Sammy if you wanted to do some OEM body grafting or just extend the upper rails of the tub. At least they had one a couple months ago.
What are your plans for the tub & fenders?

Its looking good!

Something like this.. the new panel will connect to existing sheet metal. I haven't decided how much sheet metal to keep, especially since it just keeps getting In the way of tire travel. I end up cutting more and more off. Once I get the airshocks oiled and charged, and driveshafts installed I will see how it flexes and see how much the body is in the way.

One dilemma I have is the transition from the existing body to the rear most part of the cage. Jordan had a good suggestion of removing the existing corner piece ( which curved in to the old tailgate mount) and attaching it to the new cage rear end, then attach the new panels to that.

I may end just removing the rear panel completely and attaching new panels to the cage .

Once I find out how much body I am keeping and when the roll cage is finished then I can finish up inner fenders.

None of the body work will be done until after GSMTR.

I like it. It fits the new look well.

Finished the roll cage to frame tie ins .

Welded up exhaust .

Finished cutting front fenders

Reinstalled window washer reservoir which Jordan forgot to do ; )

Painted some more

Welded exhaust... Funny that I had more clearance between exhaust pipe and Lower link crossmember BEFORE i welded it 8 0..

Should receive what I need to charge airshocks soon. ( measuring device, regulator & hose).

Carolina shipped my DRIVESHAFTS today . I should get those in a couple of days.

Got tired of the inspection cover thing leaking on dana 300 so I replaced the seal . While I had it opened. I made sure there wasn't anything binding the shift fork/ rails. I managed to shift it. I think once the cable shifters are installed and being able to put power to gears to get everything to mesh & I should be good to go.

Going to final weld the parts of the rear cage that are tacked weld tomorrow.

Once I finish doing that I will shorten the fuel lines and mount the gas filter to the frame.

Hell, he could have run a Briggs & Stratton muffler if he wanted to!

Thanks to both Greg and Lenny, we appreciated your hospitality! Greg, I got a case of beer so that's why yours wasn't all drank! Sweet shop setup you've got, I'm really jealous of the 55 you had! And Lenny, you had better run the hell outta that Suzuki and make us proud! It was fun to help out, especially since I'm cruiserless down here, so I can still get in my much needed wrenching time.

When's the next time y'all are getting together down there?

Insert Nolen where you have Greg and you will be in better shape.

Just my PSA for the day.
