RW vs ICON wheels

Discount called Icon and they confirmed that there is not an 18" Icon Vector 5 available for a Land Cruiser, which must be why you see so many people running 17" Icon wheels...

Anyone beg to differ? I like the Vector enough to switch to 17"....
That is all good that they make a 17, but is there a tire that will work on a stock configuration?
I would stick with Michelin Defenders on these Icon Vector 5's ....currently running 285/60/18 on the stock wheels for the 2016.
I presume I could go with the 285/60/17 on these Icon Vector 5's or possibly upsize a bit without any fender rub or mud flap/inner finder changes.
Any suggestions or experience that anyone can offer?

285/60/17 would be an inch smaller diameter tire than stock. 285/70/17 on rock warriors was sold as an option on the cruiser and generally clears without any real issues.. if anything, very very light rubbing at the back of the wheel well liner plastic. Different offsets can impact this, but if it is any worse than with rock warriors it is well documented on this board how to modify the plastic with a heat gun.

TNCamp.. stock suspension? Looks like a great combo to start with... My truck is even silver like yours
Since that photo I have added the Toyota spacers on the front for 1" lift. It helped with the rubbing along with some heat gun work. It would rub at full lock but was manageable.

No issues with my Rebounds, and I'd purchase another set. Personally I was never in the RW camp they didn't appeal to me and I guess I saw so many of them here in the forum I wanted something different. IMO either option is a good one its just what appeals to you most.

Agree 100%, and I know I'm in the super minority but I've never liked the RW design. I thought maybe they'd grow on me over the years and it hasn't happened.

I was going to keep the stock wheels that came on my 200, they are my "favorite" OEM Toyota wheel. However, when I weighed the pro's and con's of running spacers and larger tires on the stock rims, I decided on piece of mind and an aftermarket wheel. @zennisplayer helped me with the decision, having done both OEM and aftermarket on his 200. (also weighing in was my wife and boys running around in the LC) And, I know spacers have worked for lots of people and applications.

I like my Rebounds and strangely enough, I've got a lot of compliments regarding them.

My wife is funny, she loves the stock wheels, I am not a fan. For now I run the 275's on the stock wheels with 1.25" wheels spacers to keep the peace but she's getting new wheels in the next 12 months whether she likes it or not lol.

I love those Geolanders, such a great looking and performing tire.

I choose Icon Rebounds for my 200 build the +25 works well with the 315/70/R17, I had RW on my 100 and loved them but didn’t want to use spacers again as they are illegal here in Australia.

Icon told me this AM that Vector 5 containers are now pushed back to 24 Sept. Once they receive the containers, they will turn around to direct-ship for customers who purchased from other re-sellers (Amazon, DT, 4WP, etc). Icon is only expecting a limited re-stocking of Vector 5s, and it will be first in-first out for order fulfillment. They don’t know when to expect the next shipment of Vector 5s after 24 Sept. I ordered 4 weeks ago and was told my order was “just on the edge, can’t confirm” whether I would be part of 24 Sept or the next container delivery.
🤨
I want my #$%! wheels Icon!
