Kevin Im pretty sure of 2 things

1 you have the newest un diagnosed condition L.C.O.C.D. or L.C.A.D.H.D. i cant decide which yet

and 2 it's a good thing i don't have any money to my name cause if i did i wouldn't it would all be in your bank account.

I only ever fitted the drivers side seal to please my curiosity,works great,the hj61 was coming off the road last yr for the rebuild,then early this yr,you know what its like,it seems to be put on the backburner again and again,but the next few months it might happen.

The Lid is very strong! jump on it drop stuff on it. Only thing I have noticed is if you leave it open in direct sunlight the lid expands and cannot be closed till it cools down a bit.

Me and the Girlfriend just got back from a 9000KM trip out east and it was very nice to have the extra space and it is very quick access.


you can even cook on it!

That's not supposed to happen Matt, you need to swing back in, sounds like you have a bum piece of plastic. I found out that my FORMER plastic supplier slipped a piece of non-marine grade plastic in on me, thought I had accounted for all those lids.
The true marine stuff wont expand like that.

Kevin are you going make front and rear door trims out of that plastic,i wouldn't mind something that won't tear or stain as door trims,one guy on this forum had something similar.
Im not sure where to source that plstic in oz.
You know it would complete the set!
Ive done a little looking a while back and 8mm plastic scrivets as fasteners will work well in the doors.Ive got as far as buying the scrivets!

Let me know when there ready,checks on its way.

Really easy! Except I only did one window, and none of the locks. :cool: :doh:

I just put the one 62 window regulator in the passenger door (bolts right in) and then a couple 2 position toggles, two SPDT relays and it was all set. :cheers:
The dog loves it. But of course, one of the relays was the only thing to break on our last 10k mile trip, after years of my saying that I don't want any power windows or locks since they are just more stuff to break.
I don't listen well. :p

had the same problem-I think we emailed about it. I simply shaved a few mm off the sides, and now it is fine and closes even when expanded.

David, if you look close at the pics of the seat flipped down you can see that there are an extra set of latches mounted to the fender well (just like the two normal seat back latches, but mounted lower).

I removed the lower pivot plates so that the seat back will lift out, as long as the seat base is latched in place and the top latches are engaged, there is no where for the seat to go.
Once the top latches are released, the whole seat back is loose, I can then just slide it up onto the base, lay it on it's back and latch it into place on the new lower latches. In this orientation the front of the seat is theoretically loose so I have some tie down rings on the floor to strap the front of the seat down with. I found that I don't actually need them though since once the latches are engaged, the whole seat is immobile, I can pull up on the front and it simply doesn't move. If the truck were to roll over, the seat would only be subjected to it's own weight and it seems to hold that just fine.

Yup, I remember that, that was before I figured out what was going on. Offer still stands to swap it out!
Everything looks so great in your truck, the tailgate lid should too.

Get out your checkbook and bend over. :D

If anyone can make a reasonable solution, Kevin can. We just need to keep him into 60s. Donate your rust-free frames and bodies to him, or find him a job in the PNW to keep his junk from rusting every winter and give him more time for product development.

Personally, I'm waiting for tilt-opening rear slider windows. Think of the dogs, Kevin!
