Congrats on seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and staying focused on it, and not giving up.

It's crazy to think that this project is taking so long. Moving my junk over to my work warehouse was the best thing I did to get this thing closer to finish line even though it's 35 mins away (no traffic).

That's awesome Zack! Can't wait to see it wheel!! Sounds nice also, gotta love the bigga block.

What coilovers do you have cause I gotta get some for mine. Awesome build by the way looks amazing

Thanks for the shop time last night and for staying late. Congrats on getting just about all the brake lines run. Still hoping you'll slap some cardboard on your inside holes and make it to our snow run on Saturday. You are sooooo close!

What a dick...

That all you gonna post? really?!?!

How about some hints of where ya went what ya did or better yet some damn videos !!

it moved....

under its own power.

for the first time in 3 years.

and stopped by itself...

for the first time in 3 years.

Granted it was only across the warehouse... but it did function. :)

I figured as much.
Good feeling aint it!

I didnt realize you stretched the rear out so much, how far did you end up going back with it and do you know what your current wheelbase is now? I really like the wheelbase. Want to do a similar looking length with the orange one but by stretching the front since the rear is bobbed and I like the way it currently sits back there.

Again, congrats Zach!

That's great ... Looks bad ass too

That's a big milestone. Good work Zach, now get her done!

front is moved up about 3-4 inches I believe. Never really took stock measurements but that would be my best guess. The rear is back at least 12 inches but I wouldnt think it twice if it were more like 18". The total wheelbase is 122 inches. I wanted to be able to climb so hopefully stretching it this much turns out not to be a too big of a hassle getting through the trees around here. I suppose rear steer is always an option if it is. :)

Thanks!

LOTS and LOTS of little stuff to button up but I'm getting there. Unfortunately, I dont really have a good chunk of time to work on her until the first of the year. GRRRR.

It did feel good to drive it around a bit though. Nothing broke so I guess I'll have up the ante a bit. Maybe some parking lot wheelin soon!

122... I dig it. I know where I want the front to sit on links in my head may have to measure out and see about how long that is. and Climbing is also one of my reasons for the stretch. I found a single climb that no matter how I hit it I couldnt get enough bite on it and determined then and there I needed to be longer.

did a lap in the parking lot this morning before work. Besides the lumpy tires and the fact that every time I "blipped" the gas pedal the entire cruiser "leaned" it was awesome. I think some rear shocks and a traction bar will help immensely. The front seemed pretty stable but I have a feeling I might be playing with some different combinations of spring rates and heights as I get to know the cruiser better. They are fine for now though.

Very minimal leaks at this point and 90% of the mechanical work is now complete... now back to fabrication.

I'm glad you've kept a mostly full body. It looks great IMO. Any rubbing from mall crawling?

Yeah, I HAVE to fill in the area in front of the rear tires with some sheetmetal to make that line look decent. It drives me nuts just looking at the photos. The only rubbing I got was from turning and full lock but that is because that steering stop is missing. I'm sure I'll have to do some adjustments after some forklift posing but nothing to get my panties in bunch over yet.

We'll see how long the body lasts. :)
