Meh, thanks, but my 211 is enough to keep me in the business of making trouble. What's left for you to do on this beast?

Meh, thanks, but my 211 is enough to keep me in the business of making trouble. Thanks!

I bought one of those plasma tec 40s a number of years ago. It doesnt perform like the upper end plasma cutters but well enough that I'm not disappointed. Great for bang for buck. Cuts 1/4 with ease and assume it could cut much thicker.

Cool, thanks for the tip. What's left for you to do on this beast?

The significant things are:

1. Tranny Tunnel
2. 203/205 shifter linkage
3. Rear shock mounts
4. Fill diffs
5. Install drive flanges
6. Mount shifters
7. Tune the Powerjection 3
8. Cut down the frame side link mount for more clearance for the front driveline

That will get it on the road... then to get it to the trail:

1. Fab up some air bump mounts
2. Build bumpers front and rear
3. Re-do my sliders
4. Build Cage
5. mount winch(s)
6. Skids for bolts on my crossmember
7. Traction bar
8. Plumb in ARB compressor
9. Rear disk conversion
10. Add bump stops to rear springs

wow... so I got to play with the 252 today at lunch. HOLY SMOKES! VERY VERY nice machine. My 175 did fine with 1/4 inch but the 252 literally burnt a hole right through it. This machine is going to take some time getting used to but man... what an upgrade. Really happy with the purchase.

ha, they are built from 16 gauge so I bet they would work as jump seats. :)

Still got a bit of grinding to do but at least I'm moving forward again. I am thinking about Rhino lining (the DYI version) the interior rear section after I get them all welded into place.

Everything is looking good Zach. Check out Durabak. We just redid our dive recue boat in the dark grey and it is very stout and easy to use.

I needed give myself a break from the fender area so I decided to set up my tube roller. Here's my first crack at using it.

Honestly I am going to walk away from it for a week or two. I don't even wanna look at it.

Your project is one of the most ambitious ones I've ever seen short of a buggy. Take a break, man. You deserve it.

Brother, I did the same thing when I bent those valves in my cylinder head. I got it apart and took 2 months before I'd lift a finger on the damn thing. The break did me some good, and I'm sure it will for you, too.

I look forward to hearing updates when you're damn well good and ready!

I guess part of my burn out is because of the hours I have to work on it. Waking up at 4 in the morning to work on her for a few short hours before going to work makes for long days. I think after I catch up on some sleep I'll have the energy to finish her up... There really isn't a ton left.

thats honestly why mine sat for a year in the garage 95% done. Driving with the 454 around is sick though on the road.

thanks... I'm hitting some serious burn out again. Will someone come finish this POS for me?

I'm right there with you brother. Starting to get to that point with Moonshine.

I quit feeling sorry for myself and got back at it... Didn't get a lot done but still forward momentum. The duplicolor liner seems to be a decent product. I sanded the bed down pretty well and the liner seems to be sticking pretty well. I guess time will tell how well it holds up though.

Now I can at least get the rear shocks set up, re-plumb the fuel lines and start tuning the fuel injection. Unfortunately, I am having shoulder surgery tomorrow so I a only going to be able to accomplish one handed tasks for a few weeks.

I got the 252 almost dialed in but I am still getting used to it. I really have to careful now because it'll burn through 1/4 in with ease.

Good to have you back! Was that liner from a spray paint can?
