I am the same way, I like to wheel in more then just rocks.

Maybe it will give you some more ideas. The only thing I would change if doing it again, stamp some spots in the flat sheet to give it a bit more ridgity and strength. My towers are pretty strong but I might also think about something stronger for the cross bar if doing it again.

just took a peek at the pics... that's the route I'm taking. Thanks!

Nice Patrol by the way!

The 45 is never going, so don't get too excited (unless you come with a large check, hehe).

My '64 40 is 4th or 5th in the project line.. it is going to get my '82 BJ42 drivetrain but otherwise remain old.. rare split windshield, old tailgate, old hardtop, early oem bows, put some oem older 40 paint on it (or nebula green). The plan was to make it a cruise-in classic but capable of longer drives and easy trail/fun runs. Add a turbo, maybe swap the H42 for an H55 and it could be a fun and economical alternate DD too. I have a set of 33x9.5 BFG MTs that have been out of production for years, waiting on a set of graphite powdercoated oem disc/hubcap rims for it. Will be sweet if I can ever get to it. ;P

A buddy at work with a bj44 started my wheel well templates:

Still need to clean up the lines and mount them so they are not danglin'.

Might actually fire up the motor this weekend!

really looking good Zach! Looks like you and Mike got a few bits done last night. Sorry I couldn't make it.

Soo close man keep the momentum going! When is the next work party or when do you plan on firing her up?

No problem man. Mike and I mostly dinked around with his trans-controller via laptop... once he gets that dialed in it'll work pretty slick. After that we played with the fork lift in the warehouse for a bit and then made a fuel line or two. Kinda an easy night of wrenchin.

Monday, weds, or friday nights (after work) are usually pretty good for me. I also head in there on Sat. mornings but I get there about 5:45am and then work till about 9:30am not sure you'd be into that :) . That way the family doesnt really even notice I'm gone as they get going for the day. Its been working out pretty well. I've probably got more done in the few weeks since I've got my little area set up than I've got done in the last 9-12 months. This arrangement is working out well.

Still cant wait to see (you got to let me drive it too) your rig soon!

hope all is well Clint.

I want to see (hear) a video of that big block firing for the first time. I think we deserve it after waiting around for so long:flipoff2:

So did you start it yet? I know you go in extra early on Saturday's to work on it so you've probably rev'd it a few times by now and burned a couple gallons of gas :p.
