I will post some more pictures as soon as possible,as for rig of the week I am not sure how to go about entering that. The radiator has been opened to a four core but it definetly is a problem when the old mercury hits 35 degrees celcius(94 degrees fahrenheit). Thanx for the feedback!dgangle said:Very nice. I'd like to see more. Why don't you sign up for rig of the week? That radiator is going to hold you back w/ the SBC.
This is the first Cruiser that I have ever worked on so when it came time to restoring it I treated it like any other restoration. I actually built the truck twice. The first time I fit everything together body/motor/chassis and everything else other than the electrical. Then I stripped it back down to the frame, sent the body out for paint (in pieces),then assembled everything for the second time now knowing that everything fits the way it should. The front seats are from a company called APC and the rear seat is from a early 90's SUZUKI Sidekick which I upholstered to match. The rear seat mount is my own design. Bob...Cruiserhaven said:Wow! Very nicely done.
I just got an Aqualu body myself, it is sitting in front of my garage waiting for install.
I like your seats, what seats are you using for the front and back. For that back seat, did it come with that bracket for mounting or did you have it fabbed yourself?
Any advice for someone just starting the process of installing the body and all the hardware?

I have some more before and after images on www.cardomain.com , browse toyota and then under model look up landcruiser, it is usually in the top 4 or 5 and it is called the alumacruiser. Yes it is the Mark's conversion kit. The kit installed well aside from the confusing instructions included with the setup but other than that the setup works great! The rims are 17"x8" with 4.5" of backspacing and tire size is a 265/70/17(Yokohama Geolander M/T). thanx again for the feedback.dgangle said:I just happened to notice that even with the V8 the shifters come through the OE locations. Looking at the frame/eng/tranny pic I see what appears to be a Mark's adapter. Correct? How do yoy like it? What size tires/rims? I think it is smokin'. ROTW, please.
