Missed you on them, hopefully wheel together soon!Bummed I didn’t make the trips. Looking forward to more wheeling time bud!
Looks like some fun trips. Recently the fam and I went to Roman Nose Lake #3 and drove up the trail to the Pyramid Lake trailhead but it was getting too late for that hike. Still, we picked some very nice huckleberries, well when I say we I meant the girls did while I was on bear watch with my 10mm LOL
On, another note, Would love to see a close up of those stickers! I need to start my collection of stickers soon.
Thanks for the sticker view.Haha thankfully not many close bear calls here (at least on these trips) but it is something to be aware of. Nearly clobbered one in PA on the ATV about 10 years ago, that was a good wake up call. Also, Roman Nose Lake looks gorgeous.
As requested, here's a shot of the stickers. Some are from brands I've worked with on this build, some from personal stuff, etc.

Probably won't be for a few years but yes I absolutely plan to make it back out thereThanks for the sticker view.
Here's more info on Roman Nose. If you're ever out here you should check out our alpine lakes.

Those glove box dividers are great!
No ARB or OME parts on the GX as of now (just yet? who knows...).Where's an ARB or Old Man Emu stickers??![]()
Yup, have had them on all of my 4Runners in the past. Center console ones are great too but my GMRS and Grom CarPlay unit are mounted in there so no space/need for that one now. Those glove box dividers are great!
For the center console I use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W3RWF63/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1No ARB or OME parts on the GX as of now (just yet? who knows...).

I dig it, but no room for it! The GMRS' controls just clear the cover of the center console when it's closedFor the center console I use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W3RWF63/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1
It says it doesn't fit, but all you need to do is use a heat gun and bring the sides in about 1/4" (or less if I remember correctly) per side and it fits perfect!
Just a thought, and this would probably apply more to me because I use my winch so infrequently, but if it were me, I'd make a note of charging it before a trail run, or if available in the rig, on the way to the trail. With my kind of luck, I'd charge it after a use, then not use it for a year or so, then when I needed it, would be drained again.Have I mentioned lately that I love this truck?
Well, I love this truck.
Some things about it bug me. The HVAC controls suck, the gas mileage is no bueno, and the swing-out door occasionally makes me miss my 5th gen 4Runner's rear hatch with its roll-down window. But, I still love the damn thing. It's such a treat to drive something this comfortable to and from the trail, and as much as I wish it had JLUR performance off-road, it's just a joy to come home from a day of wheeling in this rig.
Here's how it sits a lot of the time, taking frequent rests when I have press vehicles to drive

& on the topic of wireless vs wired remotes for winches (we were talking about this in another thread), I make it a habit to charge the wireless remote for my Warn after each use. I used the winch to move a seemingly million pound work bench so once the job was done I did what I always do and plugged it in to charge.

Not a bad idea.Just a thought, and this would probably apply more to me because I use my winch so infrequently, but if it were me, I'd make a note of charging it before a trail run, or if available in the rig, on the way to the trail. As mentioned, just a thought.
The cable is always in my center consoleThe battery in my OVS winch remote seems to last for quite a long time. I will plug it in to recharge before trips but it hasn't given me the low battery warning yet just sitting for months at a time. I do always keep the remote cable in the car on the off chance the battery dies.
I was actually talking to Jared the other day (big jer with the long bed 2nd gen) that I haven’t been out with them since my 3rd gen Tacoma. Busy with life and kids stuff, but I told him I’ve been getting the itch to go out with everyone again. Maybe I’ll see you around one of his mod days or wheeling trips! He mentioned something about this Saturday, but I’m on vacation until the 28th. Nice looking rig!![]()
