This reply pretty much consolidates all three of your posts.
In short, great write up!
I was really bummed when my daughter, a few years ago, bought a 2013 Rav4. The infotainment screen was SO NICE! It had album cover art, full color, it was awesome! And here I am in a premium Lexus, just one step down from the their best (LX) model, my GX, and I have a screen that looks like Windows 3.1!
I just couldn't understand how Toyota/Lexus would let that happen!

Back to your write up. Does one have to have a Premium model with the infotainment system to use the Hamilton or will it work on any trim level?
My GX is a base model so I expect the kit would work with any trim.

Not necessarily a mod or maintenance or anything, but a point of convenience that I spent time working to find the best solution for that seemed worth sharing.

So I love having an "always at the ready" knife/multitool that's available just by opening the driver door, whether that use case is for a truck repair, cutting open someone's lunch snack that won't open, trimming a piece of tree branch out of a taillight, etc. I had a trusty pocket knife that lived in this spot for >4 years but the horrific cold plus maybe some use in a way a knife shouldn't be used led to its untimely death. I ordered and tried a bunch of multitools in the traditional folding sense but ultimately settled on a Rocktol multitool-pocket-knife-combo. Needed it to a) fit in the Lexus' door next to my flashlight, b) be easy to carry, and c) cost <$30. Tall order, but this thing is pretty sweet especially for $20 since I didn't want to spend Leatherman Skeletool money. Can leave it in the door pocket or in my pants pocket as need be. A nice little addition.

Vaughncast! | Hooniverse Podcast 383

Always great catching up with Vaughn Gittin Jr., been a bit since Chris and I had him on OTRA and he’s still having as much fun as ever. Ton of cool RTR s*** happening now and Dan pulled a heroic effort to make us look like pros.

Working on a few projects

Blue Sea 6006 power interrupter for the winch. I have a sneaking suspicion that the wireless aspect of my winch is what has been killing batteries here and there (albeit just a theory), so trying this out to see what happens (and to limit battery pull when not needing the winch). Trying to make the switch work with the plastic shroud that goes in the engine bay behind the grille / in front of the radiator realm.

& working on a mount for the Voswitch switch panel I was sent to test/review. Should be able to find a way to put it comfortably under the hood.

I have a switch based relay I have not installed. I am just using a kill switch right now right after my 400 amp fuse.

This should serve effectively as a kill switch for whenever I don't want the winch to be ready/on
