No mention from the dealer of how your mods may have voided your warranty? (joking!)

I would suggest having an indy give it a once over as well as I have little faith in the dealer identifying potential issues, although I hear that warranty work for them may be lucrative

Haha, no. None of my modifications directly (and/or indirectly) impact any of the things I'm paying attention to as far as the warranty goes-- rust, coolant valley, and water pump. Lexus (and this dealer) are also very kind in understanding that notion.

Warranty work in general doesn't pay as well for the techs as does customer pay work. That said, car guys who are service writers/advisors tend to look after car guys who work on / modify / take care of their vehicle versus the stereotypical customer who comes in complaining about a squeak that you only hear at 47 MPH on one specific section of road when it's between 40 and 45 degrees outside on the third Tuesday of every month [exaggerations are fun], and I unashamedly say that from my own experience.

Oil change today at 35,484 miles. Had the Lexus dealer do it so they could look it over before the CPO warranty ends in October. They also gave it a much needed wash, still cleans up pretty well!

Gotta love the service of owning a Lexus! I've thought of going in there for the free car wash after a trail run, but didn't want to be a jerk...
Did you get a new Lexus for a loner while it was in the shop? Or was is just a couple our job.
Anytime I've ever gone in for a service where they keep my rig more than a day, they give me a new Lexus as a loner, and I usually get to pick, albeit, on the lower end of the spectrum.

The Lexus service experience truly is special. I've had a bunch of other makes (Toyota, Subaru, Dodge, Chevy, Mazda, etc) and it's always great taking the GX460 in. No other manufacturer's dealer has matched the Lexus experience. I just hung out while they serviced it yesterday and got some work done.

At least my local Lexus, the waiting lounge is not a bad place to get some work done. Comfortable, refreshments, and whatever is on the TV.

My favorite part of brining in our modified rigs to the dealer are the looks of satisfaction on the employees. I got a lot of head nods and thumbs up lol. And seeing my GX parked next to a sea of soccer kid carriers is hilarious, makes it stand out even more.
I have to say though, I don’t get the VIP treatment like y’all have seen.

The basic maintenance stuff at my local dealer is close enough in price to anywhere else that it's a no brainer for the better customer service and facilities. Due to the unprecedented strength of the economy, a full synthetic oil change at Jiffy Lube is like $125 and its $140 at Lexus and I can easily consume $15 in snacks and coffee while I wait.

Just FYI....you can easily knock out a Mobil 1 change with a Toyota filter for around $40 as a DIY :). $140 may not be a bad price considering the overall labor etc, I'm cheap and probably will keep DIY'ing it until I'm too decrepit to get under the rig.

I have my certified independent mechanic do it and while he does it, he also does an entire inspection of fluids, hoses, boots, belts, bulbs, etc. for about the same price.
I used to do all my own fluid changes before it became such a headache to get rid of the fluids and with a hand laid brick driveway, don't want to be spilling oil.

I know. I DIY most of my car stuff because I think it is interesting but I just don't like messing with fluid exchanges so I'd rather pay someone else to deal with it.

It is super-easy with a Fumoto. Zero drips from my rig :).

Followup to the "Soon..." post from before:

Received in a set of American Racing Baja AR172 wheels (17x8", 0mm offset) to go along with the 34x10.5" BFG KO2s. The Motegi Trailites that are on the truck now have been absolutely fantastic but the 8.5" width is a little wider than ideal for the narrower tires I'm testing next. Very much looking forward to this setup, my dad had the old school AR Bajas and BFG Mud-Terrains (KM1s) on his YJ Wrangler that was the vehicle behind why I'm in this whole off-roading space, so a bit of full-circle emotional joy here.
