I'll be honest, it was a pain! I removed the passenger-side vent and the trim pieces in the footwell to the right of the center console area to gain access. Then I fished the wires down from the top behind the main infotainment screen. Once I had pulled down enough wire, I ran it into the glove box through a small access hole that I (carefully!) cut/drilled in the back of the glove box. I have an auxiliary fuse box in the globe box that powers the CarPlay screen and charging ports. The power for that fuse box goes through the passenger-side firewall grommet to the main battery. I used an auxiliary fuse box just to give myself some room to grow. I'm sure you could power it off of the existing fuse box if you knew where to tap.

Thanks for the reply! Jealous of the aux fuse box, that looks awesome. Finally got the wire run under the speaker after an hour or two of cussing at it. Currently just into the cigarette lighter but im going to start with just a simple tap to the passenger side fuse box. Thanks for the inspo!

Ok, I'll leave it packaged up then. I reread the 10.26 add the only time it mentions 'dual' bluetooth is screen shotted as the music player. I think it's ad copy bleed over. the 7" clearly shows an image with dual BT connecdtions (in and out)

Looks like the 7" mount will be an adventure. That was a plus for the 10.26", same mount I had already adapted to my support arm.
Hikity support sent me a firmware update which they say will fix the issue. I’ll try that today and report back.

Anyway to zoom the roadtop v2 display?
Using Waze the speed and direction text are tiny. I can zoom the map but I want the display icons bigger.

Wireless Android auto has been flawless so far in the first week with my Galaxy S13+.

Also, in my 08, I can't get calls to route back through the cars bluetooth, it answers on the roadtop and that's useless

I got the 7" hikity today. Read the manual and looked thru the on box adverts, no 'dual bluetooth' in either of those. It uses a clip mount (not screwed to device). The clip mount has the four slot method of connection. I'm not a huge fan of this mount, but think I have a tablet mount that might work instead of the clip.

Willing to send it back if @Bryanmc gets the new FW working. I much prefer the mounting solution and wider screen on the 10.26

So far no joy.

The firmware they sent freezes on the loading screen and now my unit doesn’t work at all.

Waiting to hear back on what to try next.

Hey @grinchy on the 7” I’ve been using a magnetic mount. Just slapped the metal plate on the back of the unit. It’s been pretty solid for daily driving. I have not done any Baja 1000 type testing, so ymmv ;)

So is the 7" working with dual bluetooth even though it's not in the manual? I just got one delivered, wondering about opening it.

Yes, the 7” works with dual bt. It’s not perfect, the Siri voice does not use the car speakers, for example, but it connects thru. For me this means I don’t have to constantly (every start up), manually put the music app on the car bt input.

I’m going to finalize install.

It almost fits in the stock screen space, just the power cable in the way.

I’m keeping the 7”, I like the form factor much better.

Regarding the dual Bluetooth, either it doesn’t work as I expect it to or I can’t figure it out.

What I expect is that my phone connects to the screen via CarPlay and my screen connects to my car via Bluetooth.

What’s happening is my phone is connected to the screen via CarPlay but it’s also connected to my CAR via Bluetooth for the audio.

The 10.26 screen was doing that, so maybe I’m missing how it’s supposed to work.

Also, any way to get this accessibility button off the screen? It’s a hassle because the Smart Screen icon does the same thing.

Interesting. I didn’t get the second connect on the 10.26, maybe I didn’t try hard enough. I also see the phone connected to the car bt, but as long as I don’t have to manually select that every boot, I’m ok with it.

I liked the wider screen better.

CarPlay has such basic function just about any screen will suffice though.

Thanks! Do you have a picture of it all put together?

The most important is the reduction ball. The rest you could mix and match as you please.

I think the Yak Attack base is also a great addition to the Gamiviti plate.

Is that the correct spot for the pro clip?!
Yep.
