Axle time! Had to remove the old tabs that the PO decided to put on there with some new double shear Ruff Stuff ones.

Guys, do you know where to buy axle vent nipples? I have one axle with the little plastic cap and one without anything.

Figured I might try to elaborate a little more on my project to keep myself organized. This weekend I fixed and painted both front and rear axles. I think the truck used to have a spring over axle configuration as there are blocks welded to the frame that I left, I also have had to remove ghetto spring mounts in the rear. POR15 for the axles and high temp silver for the few odds and ends I had left over. I also ordered a stainless steel brake line kit about 2 years ago that is finally going to be installed. I'm waiting on quite a lot today. 1) For the rest of the large pieces to get done at the blaster, when they get done I need to drop them off at paint and make a game plan with the painter, looking forward to that 2) Waiting for a package from CCOT to drop off some springs. I'll steel need to plate the shackles prior to putting the frame on the axles. While I wait for that I will finish painting the block.

You can do a breather extension mod and run the breathers up into the engine bay. Would be no easier time than now. Or I think you can still get OEM breathers through Toyota, but I could be wrong on that one.

Lift installed. Ran into a little trouble with the lift not coming with the proper u bolts, also installed the springs backward the first time. Oh well, at least I'm mobile again! Much easier to push!

Found a crack in my exhaust manifold after sand blasting. I guess that is where my leak was! A friend had some experience welding cast and we gave it a stab. Looks good to me! Got the steering almost figured out.

Ran into an issue while putting the steering box back on. The tie rod that connects to the center arm slightly rubs my shock. I'm not sure if I didn't mount the tab far enough out on the axle or if the pitman arm can be screwed tighter on the box. Anyone have some insight?

Nice work. Wish mine was as good as shape as yours. My whole bed and rear quarters need to be replaced. Parts are on the way though. Your thread is motivating me to dive in on mine. My front floors look pretty much like yours.

Nice! Are you doing the work yourself? It can get daunting to say the least. So far it has been a lot of fun.

Stopped by the body shop, they are making good progress on the body. Should be in primer in a week or so.
