Sorry guys, I have been out of town a lot on business (I am typing from a hotel room in Houston right now). The paper mache thing didn't work. NOT a good plan at all. I still have the paper template and with all the measurements posted here by scorcher, we should be in good shape. I'll try to get it in the mail when I get home.

I think I'll cast the front floorboards for you. As much as I can. I wish someone out there had a 55 that was to damaged to use but had good whole section of the front floorboards to use. This would make things a lot easier. I'll do what I can. It may take me a while though.

I may be able to find a 55 here. But that would cost me nearly US$7000 for a broken down rig. I am not sure if there is enough demand for parts to go and do that investments.. Comments?

Lou and I got a good look at a potential 55 donor that we could probably hack up and send to eshan. It had everything we all have been wanting. rear corners, rear quarters, and especially the floorboards the rears were in good shape. He is parting the pig out after everyone has gone through it maybe we could get him to sell us these parts somewhat cheap so we could get them reproduced so everyone could enjoy. Only problem I saw with this deal was that it is a 78 model which is different from what I need. But the outer sheetmetal should all be the same. And best of all it had rear corners. They had lots of bondo but I'm sure they would make a perfect partern for Eshan to make parts from.

Newbie here, been reading this thread and am pinching myself to see if I'm dreaming!!!
I noticed most of the panels the Aussies make are flat or 2-D, even their rear corners are not "wrapped".
"Would your designs be like this as well, or can you make the rear corners 3-D?"
Got a feeling you would sell a ton (literally) of those panels here. Are you seeking an international distributor or keeping it private label? If you are selling them yourself, then this newbie would be honored to be in line for your panels. (I miss my corners... ...so does my Piggy).

Hello there
I dont have a distributor in the US and I send stuff direct to the customers.
Good News...
The first sample repair panel for the fenders is complete and you will see pictures in a few more hours time. These will include the rolled edge in front also.
What exactly do you mean by 3D? Please specify or post a picture/link. I plan to make the rear corner panels that would wrap around the corner. This will be very difficult but we will try at our end. If not then we will make the straight pieces.

Regarding the 3D curve, it is exactly the area you mentioned. The lower, rear-most corner of the vehicle. This is the point where the side meets the rear valence (2D), then they are both rolled under (thus, 3D).
This corner ends up looking like a "ball" for lack of a better term.
(I wished I could post pics, but my status is not up yet )
All you need to do in order to post pics is support this website by purchasing a 'Silver Star'. Anyone can post pics...I think it costs $20 for a year's subscription. It's totally worth every penny.
