I tried looking up on the EPC what were the dates that this changed. While it doesn't even list a part # for the rear floor pan except an 80 model FJ55 it does give me info on the front pans. Though not what I was expecting.

So I was standing outside looking at the floorboard and I thought that I could make a mold of the floorboard. So I bought paper mache tonight and mixed up a batch....

I'll let it dry and see what I get in the morning. If it works, I should have a good template for the floorboards.
Any picture of the mold?

Not yet. It's pretty thick and it's cold here at night, so it will take some time to dry. I expect at least 3 days.

I did up this little schematic today. It does not show seat pedestals or bolt holes. I will do those another time. This is for the 78. Someone who also has one please verify my measurements? I can email a copy of this in larger format if someone wants it, just ask. scorcher1967@gmail.com

Ehsan, any measurements missing?
Thank you for all the details and pics. The fllor seems to be in two pieces, one left and one right? The central circular hump is separate? Do we need to make this circular hump as well?
Thanks

The rear floor on the 78 is a single piece from left to right and includes the hump. It appears separate, but that is just the green and white paint. I suppose patch panels could be made for left or right, without the hump. Since I do not have rust in this area, and do not speak for those who do, I do not know where the common rust areas are. Chime in piggie owners!

I guess we need to help Ehsan decide which to do first...or even if both are needed. The bead rolls are different for sure, as well as the heater platform. So i think these will take 2 different patterns.

By the way, the mold is still drying...it should be interesting to see if I can get it unstuck from the floor!

And Screw Holes and Sub Floor Assembly....

Again, Someone please verify these measurements?

PS. Hows this for Cruiser Karma? I dont even need rear floor pans!;p
Can you make a full scale diagram on a sheet of paper and mail that to me? That would be the best.
Thanks
Ehsan

Just one piece. His looks like two because of the paint lines. So eshan your going to be making two rear sections? Early style and one later style?
I intend on making both styles. Time frame cannot be commented upon until we make the first pieces of each..

Ehsan, I appreciate in advance all the help in giving our 55s new life :)

Ehsan When I cut my fenders and Quarters to replace them I will send you what I cut out maybe with some sort of fiberglass mold of what the rear corners should be like.
