Yeah i double checked that too and your right Vintage Air did not say anything about securing the Heater valve. Mine is supported by the hose in about the same area are yours. My hoses are suspended decent so the valve seems to be happy suspended between the two ends of the hose.

AC Lines , the ends in the box are already done but the lines run to the compressor / engine bay need to be cut and fit and the end crimped on. I am at that stage., and realized i do not have a crimp tool...i can buy one but very expensive for basically a one time use. Just wondering how you did it? I can take it to a Hydraulic hose manufacturer, but i do not want to take all apart. I have the lines run out to the engine bay and want to crimp the ends with a hand tool and be done with it.

Mine are crimped already at both ends, I’ll give it a double check tomorrow.

Ok probably cause you got the kit for FJ40 with their AC compressor so they designed it complete. ? I ordered the kit with out the compressor cause i have a custom V8 engine install and using my chevy compressor so they just gave me hose and loose fittings to measure/ cut and crimp to fit.

Right, we ordered the entire kit. After looking at the instructions and my pics, they are already crimped.

There’s a Parker in East Akron at Gilchrist and 76 that might be able to crimp the lines for you. They’ve helped in the past. Ganley Toyota’s service guys are LC friendly and might be able to help if you can get back to the service bay with some donuts. One of their Maserati techs has a bunch of vintage Toyota.

Ah yes OK good leads Thanks!!. Everybody loves Donuts LOL .. BTW hope all is good with your family i know you mentioned wife is fighting on the front lines with Covid so god bless you and yours!

So far so good, knock on wood. She had to get tested a few weeks in but was negative. Thank you for asking. The kids are slowly getting back to their activities. Hopefully you and your family have stayed healthy and safe.

Most of the exhaust is complete and I fired it up briefly to make sure that I didn’t bump anything while finishing up the wiring.

Home after putting another 2300 miles on the Sequoia. We camped in VA, North FL, south of St. Pete and WV. Had to take a break from the heat for a night before bailing out of FL. While we were gone, the white for the top and bezel were worked up.

The details are starting to get wrapped up. More filing on new paint to fit the trouble light plug, exhaust is complete and will be hung after it gets cleaned up. The tail pipe hanger was modified to fit the existing holes in the frame. Sandblasted the front emblem clips and added some new SS hardware. We also purged the coolant and will retourque the headbolts ASAP.

were you able to get the grill TOYOTA emblem in the grill without mods with the vintage AC condenser in front of the radiator?

We'll let you get by with that grill this one time!
