Thanks guys, I will do the ground work so you can comment.:D
I've been investigating the body mounts and in most cases they use a damper top and bottom of the bracket. I'm looking at body mounts from a Range Rover classic, they are cheap  and easy to use.

Made some brackets to support the body in the middle. Wanted to use 4mm steel but could only get 6mm. Plasma cutter was my best frend today. Cut them out grinded the corners square and welded them together, well the first one at least.

Some more of the finished one including the spot it needs to end up. I'm going to weld a nut inside the beam so it can be bold up from underneath using older type Range Rover body mounts.

Cut a part out of the cross beam the PO put in there to give the tyres some more room. Gives me a chance tu weld in some nuts to make it easy to bolt in a seat frame later on. It is difficult to cut 6 mm steel up side down in a cramped place.

Started mocking up top of the fender/wheel well.
The curve in the fender is not perfect yet, have to cut and reweld.:frown:
You can see the part of the frame sticking out on the side, this is for the support for the cage. This way I don't have to brace it to the chassis.

The body work it looking GREAT!
That is a BEEF body mount too.

Id like to see the spacers when you have a chance.

There will be a lot of force on these brackets because of the way the PO set it up so better be safe then sorry.:hillbilly:

For the spacers it is just 2 rubbers one of the "umbrella's" and a large washer. Not that different from others just cheaper and easy to come by.
The rubbers are $0,75 each and the "umbrella" about $6,50 as I only need 2 and get some discount it will cost me about €10,-

That looks almost exactly like what I had used for my t case mount.
Nice!

Got a little bit done today, no pictures, sorry.
Took the floor out and cleaned, sanded and etched the bottom and did the same to the top of the frame yesterday. It was finaly above 10 Celcius. Cleaned the rear of the shop today, it was to cold for epoxy primer, hope to do that next week so I can glue the floor to the frame and finaly proceed with the rest of the back end.

I am looking at the construction of a rotisserie that will allow me to park the tub above the chassis when I am not working on them. I will start a new tread on it as soon as the basic plans are developed.

lot of metal work there looks like it coming along pretty good ... good work

thanks, kinda stuck right now due to the cold weather. I want to use a strong paint system especialy on the parts I can not reach after welding and glueing but it needs + 10 degr. C. to use etch primer and epoxy.:frown:

Haven't done much on the cruiser lately. A lot going on at work which is draining my energy at the moment. The bad (cold) weather isn't helpfull either. Did a few things, took the side appart again and started on the rim for the deck. The bend in the rear is just a little off so I need to get a shrinker to get it right. As soon as the temp is getting above 10 degr. C. I can use epoxy and start to assemble. This weekend was minus 8 so I went shopping with the :princess: and have to work tomorow.:frown:
Here is the progress for now.

I've not made any progress since before Christmas. And it's been more like 10c around here.:D

Michael.

Looking good! I got some cruisertime in today. I bet your it itching for some too.

Did I mention it was 59 degrees F today...:p

Alex

Yeah rub it in.:D

So its been a while since I posted on this tread, what can I say life got in the way together with bad weather.:frown: Finaly got something done today. Started cutting and grinding on the rear fender. Finaly decided to do the rear part in one peace, its easyer with the curve and its less welding so less warping. Also got my new toy out of its box. Pictures will follow later.
