This was project for the day. Ordered parts (along with heater tees and hoses) from Partsouq last week and received them today.

Sorry to bring up some ol’ shet but for anyone that did this and ordered this part did you nuotice that the jdm wiper holder does not have grooves to fit into the splines on the rear wiper link arm stud that the bolt goes onto. I ordered from partsouq and i found it odd that it was smooth over and basically held by the nut

Anyone know if this can work on a 80-series?

I'm wondering the same thing @vjr021 ... been kicking around the idea of trying this out on the 80, but haven't taken the plunge (or done any real research) yet.

PartSouq shows 2 in-stock. $27.25 + ~$13 shipping to USA.

On your mark... Get set... GO!

And they have 7 of the blades too:
Thanks for links! Just placed an order for my new to me 04 LC. $61.47 including shipping. Was about $10 more when I bought one from Amayama last year.

Heads up for those ordering from Amayama. They use EMS shipping out of UAE so don’t expect accurate tracking of your order and Amayama has been absolutely useless trying to figure out what’s happening. UAE shipping is horrible and combined with USPS you’re in for a mystery if it’ll even show up.

I specifically requested Fedex shipping, but It was sent EMS. UGH.

Ordered May 5th. Stuck somewhere in the ether, Priority Mail Express International. LOL!!

Hey, did this mod years ago and now need a replacement blade. Anyone know the part number for just the wiper blade?

Does this mod help clear the top of the rear window? The original one misses a good 3-4 inches at the top.

I recently just starting using a 17 in wiper blade. Never did this mod.

Brand new out of the box, mine still misses the top few inches. I was just thinking about going back to the stock arm and wiper (which I kept on a shelf) to see if it was any better. This setup looks nicer and modern on the rig, might not be any better than stock though. Seems to "chatter" quite easily too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I bought this one:

You have to modify the arm to put pressure on the window. Where it pivots, there are two plastic 'arms' inside that need to be filed down to allow it to compress beyond the original position. I stuck a round skinny file in my drill and had it done in a few minutes. You'll recognize what needs to be filed when you look inside.

For $12... Sure, whatever. I wouldn't have paid anymore for it and if I knew about it prior, wouldn't have bought it at all. The plastic looks like it'll be chalky and s***ty soon, the blade doesn't look like a universal replacement. When it inevitably gets faded, or no longer holds pressure, or the blade goes bad, I'll just replace it with my already repainted, Rain-X blade wearing OEM arm and not think twice about it.

Follow up: I tossed mine in the trash a while ago. Was junk. Went back to the OEM and I'm happier with it.

I always enjoy the updates on this thread - nice work everyone!
