Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement Help (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
I am planning on replacing the rear wheel bearings on my 1998 Lx470 with 240k miles. Does anyone have a link to a service manual or write up anywhere? I have yet to come across a good video or guide on how to do this. I also need to know if I have all the bearings, parts, and seals I need.


I know this is going to be a PITA having to press out the bearings and all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are few threads on this. I’m mobile now and don’t have the links in front of me. I do have a copy of the FSM page that details the assembly of the rear axle.

Make sure to use OEM bearings and oil selas if you plan to keep the truck for sometime. You can google Timmy the tool mans 4runner rear axle bearing replacement on youtube. Toyota semi floater axles got same setup
