Thanks for all the collected info fellas. The rubber profile pic on the previous page is invaluable. Mine have been gently leaking for approx ten years and it's rectifying time!

I don't know if sliding rear windows have gone out of fashion or everyone's done theirs by now but it seems there was a flurry of activity about five years ago and not much since.

The flocked rubber also referred to as 'Bailey Channel' is available from Scott's Old Auto Rubber Melbourne

Bailey Channel seems to be an Aussie term and unlocks a couple of retailers in Aus who are selling the 'dual' or 'double' Bailey Channel for the 60 sliders. Diagram from Scott's website 350.117 is the one we need and retails for Au$14.56 per metre. He posts worldwide.

I actually ordered a set of sliders from AUS a couple months ago, taking the slow boat over, and I plan on completely refurbishing the set. I ordered the "Bailey" channel from JC Whitney here in the states. I think it's the same dimensions. I'll post up my process when I have everything in hand.

@red66toy I have a set that need to the same treatment. I'd be interested in connecting for parts #'s. I'm not far from you to check out the process or finished set.
Yeah, sure thing! I'll let you know when I get them. I still need to order the sticky sealer that binds the window to the body. Where did you get your set from?

Unfortunately Seattle is a bit too far for me to join in the rear sliders party.

Just out of interest, how much do you fellas pay for a set of sliders in the U.S? I've passed over countless free sets in wrecks back in Aus where they were taken for granted I suppose.

They were around $50 USD each on ebay a few months ago. I am not sure about other sources.

I think Tasmanic meant window sliders, unless I misunderstood?

Oh the weather stripping "bailey" channel? That cost $25 for 8 feet from JC Whitney. My previous post was for the whole window/frame assembly.

Yes I was referring to the whole window frame glass etc complete. I'm expecting a load of rubber from Aus then I'll get going taming the 'sliders' haha:beer:.

Would like to check Seattle .

I'm working on doing this job myself and there were some of these little, wedge shaped, rubber dealies between the body and the outer window frame, but a bunch of them had already fallen out along the road over the course of time. Does anybody know where I can get some replacements?

Just wanted to add that the part number for these little wedges are not 62229-95J00 as was posted in another thread. I ordered that part number and received little foam strips instead. Not sure if they moved the part number to another part or what. Just thought other people looking for those wedges would like to know.

Look for 'side window'. This is a link for all the parts for all the years an it's confusing.....But I think it will help
Go down about 2/3rd's of the way down. I know that my window is an '85 slider and I still wasn't able to identify
the proper part number for the rubber wedges mentioned above. If someone figures it out, post the proper part number.

I found the spacers! I thankfully wasn't missing any when my windows arrived but I am happy I solved the mystery! The parts diagram only shows them being used on the side of the window but there are about 4 on the bottom of the windows as well. They are a bit shorter than my originals but would do the job

Now are those spacers just for locating the window so it's centered? Or what is their purpose?

Correct, the spacers help center the window in the opening. There rubber weather stripping that goes on the top of the frame and extends down the right side of the frame. That means there is nothing on the left and bottom of the frame to support it, so that is where these spacers come into play.

Do you know how many of these should be used for each window?
