Whoa! I just ran across these: https://www.wildwestoffroad.com/catalog/suspension/cat_6.html?ccUser=

...and I thought Slee's were pricey. And I don't know about that angle, it seems to me a straight line would be better for rock surfing which is pretty much what I'm doing in an 80 with a 4" and 315s.

Jason of 'Cruisin Off Road makes some as well. I have them on my 80 and so far so good with the beatings.

I looked at Jason's site, no listings. I've decided I'm going to build these myself anyway.

you can buy the set of used stock LCA's from yjeff here on the board (just took them off - in good condition) and cut and weld in a stonger outside piece of pipe like mentioned in the posts above. Its sucha close fit I would imagine you would be better off with some straight ones to start off with.

I think I'll try and and straighten what I have first. If it doesnt work out I'll contact jeff.

Thanks!

Funny that this was bumped today, it's what was on the Moab prep list for today. Lexycrzy's were bent, didn't want the angle thing, so went with tube. Used 1 1/4" poop pipe, about perfect size. Pushed them straight in the press, cut them in half, welded the ends and rosettes in the middle. He got new bushings, so it's end to end.

On the "lumpy forever mesa drive" run in the holiday binge wheeling, he mangled one of the rear sway bar brackets. Got a pair of replacements from Rock Auto, lengthened them good to go. Look to be good pieces, priced right.:hillbilly:

Mine have seen better days, how much?

Those puppies are pricey at Toyo, I think that is where all my noise is coming from in the front and back

...

I wouldn't run the bent ones, have seen them get a couple of rigs hung up. The straight arms ramp up the rock, feeding the rock to the tire. The bent ones do alright in the straight area, when it gets to the bend, cant pull the angle, so hangs on the angle/axle tube, they don't lift the tire like straight arms do.

My thoughts exactly. And maybe provides a little more pinion protection.

So LCA bushings are available? How much $ ? I don't think mine are in terrible shape but it would be nice to not worry about cooking em.

Got this little mod done this weekend and it worked out great for me guys thanks. AND I got to use a mig for the first time... I want one! (I know, I know, I've led a sheltered life)

Well... I was just about to do this mod, but it looks like the OEM rear arms on my '93 are 1.68" OD. Anyone else run into that issue?

I'll bring them to the meet tonight if anyone is interested? Thanks

I'll take them, would be good to have a spare set for exchange.

Bumping this old thread up to top. What vendor is selling these DOM tubings for a decent price? Ruffstuff has a 4' piece for $50+$24 shipping to my place. This is 0.25" wall thickness, a little thicker than what the first post in this thread.

If your in the Phx area industrial metal supply is my go to. Edit: I have also had good luck with sun valley metal supply.

Getting steel locally will be cheaper, usually about half price. not all will want to sell you 4ft though. I buy tube from ruffstuff every once in a while for convenience reasons, their prices aren't that bad overall.
