why won't this work? aside from modifying the front bearing retainer to fit the larger toyota throw out bearing , buying the longer pilot bearing, retapping the two lower bolt holes on the bellhousing and bolting together I don't see any problem ! people say the bolt pattern on the 3b and the f and 2f are the same !


This is from a toyota diesel site....


3B Diesel engines were availavble with 4 and 5 speed transmissions. They share the same bolt pattern as F, 2F, & 3F gas engine but require a special input shaft that is a different length and spline count as F or H series gas & diesel engines. A H55F from a 3B Engine will not work in a F or H series engine without getting this new input shaft. It is also NOT the same shaft that is found in H or F series transmissions, you must buy this part from Toyota.
