Great thread. Do you add sea foam every oil change?

Yes. I add either sea foam or berryman's B12 before each oil change. I run the engine at idle from cold to normal temp: about 10 minutes. I let the oil drain completely before replacing filter/oil.

beautiful rig. But what lift did you go with? I saw the picture of the transaction, but you never specified if you went with the light duty or heavy duty TJM kit. how does it look with 35" tires on it?

I installed what TJM (ToyTec) referred to as their "progressive" kit. I am VERY happy with both the on and off road manners of the suspension. The Rocky Mountain ATS tires are excellent as well. I would HIGHLY recommend both the suspension kit and the tires.

We went to the Lucas Oil off road expo in Pomona, CA this weekend. Oh it was good... Tremendous show. Show special prices too.

I purchased a few things for my FJ80 [Elsie]...

TJM Boulia tent
TJM 2m awning
TJM 9K winch
TJM recovery kit
TJM high lift jack
TJM air compressor
TJM tire repair kit
Rigid Industries 40" spot/flood LED light bar.

Expedition rig getting outfitted!

I returned home from my latest military adventure and went straight to So Cal to pick up all my goodies. I've been busy trying to get back in the swing of things and the weather has not been the best but I'm starting to get thing together.

Good thing I stopped to check my height. Sign in parking garage said 8'2" clearance... Not much to spare!

Im looking at buying a locked 94 as well. Did you have any issues with the transmission?

No real tranny issues. I 'think' the shifts are getting lazy after coasting but it could be me. 246,xxx on the original trans.

I had a few quite hours today so I got my new stereo installed, a Sony MEX-BT3100P.

The install was straight forward using a Metra's wiring harness adapter and cubby hole.

Finally I can utilize iTunes, Pandora and speakerphone and be truly hands-free.

I read up on MUD before starting. I learned about disconnecting the factory amp.

Very nice work! There's always something to add as a build is never done. Merry Christmas!

I just scored a 1994 land cruiser. Engine and trans seem fine. I drove it 40 miles home. No issues. Cruise control works. No CEL. Many parts to be swapped onto Elsie. ;)
I should have some leftovers too. Here is the thread.

If you want/need something, please do not post part requests here. Post in the thread linked above.

The Toro cable I ordered from eBay has arrived. $20 hand throttle mod.

I'm waiting for my aux battery box, and associated parts to arrive from Slee. Soon I'll have everything to do a major electrical upgrade while completing my lighting install as well as my winch install.

We took Elsie out today for a picnic and to set up the new TJM tent and awning.
We may need a ladder extension ;)

A box of goodies from outside the USA was waiting at the front doorstep tonight. I now have a headlight washing system for my cruiser ;)

Cool! I'm interested to see that installed since you'll be the first that I've seen add that. :) Is that an option on your foreign counterpart?
