Puma Compressor Mounted! Using Phil's Mount.

How did you mount the compressor to the mount? I have all of this in my garage ready to put together, but I don't know if I'll trust the suction cups to hold this thing down while wheeling. Also, X2 on what's the contraption at the end of the air outlet?
The PUMA needs to be bolted down!

sorry to side track things. but someone else asked. will these little pumas run a small nail gun for trim? any way to power it inside a house from wall plug? i nee to do a lot of trim work. i could justify buying one over a MV50 to the wife if it worked for redoing wall trim.

Yes. They make converters. I have a little radio shack one I use on my shop bench to test 12v stuff.

I know the suction cups won't hold it. I know it has to be bolted down but exactly how did you do that?
Remove the feet
Set Puma in place
Mark Puma holes in base place
Drill base
Bolt and use nylon lock nuts < I used 5/16"
Some leave feet as a bushing < Make sure you use nylon lock nuts

Update on usage: Yes, the Puma is bolted down to the mount. I removed the existing screws and bolts from the compressor's rubber feet and then went to home depot to get longer bolts; with those, I kept the rubber feet as a damper between the compressor and mount so that they could absorb any turblence during trail rides.
The contraption at the end of the air inlet came with the ARB mini compressor (CKMA12), purpose is to simply aid in quick disconnecting the air hose. I did not end up using it in the final configuration, as you can see in the pictures it would not have cleared the interior panel.
As for performance, I am very impressed; aired up all 4 tires in less than 5 minutes! I did some beach driving and aired down to 14 psi and back up to 35psi. So for me that is perfection.

I just ordered the Anderson connex (and dust cover) and about to order wire (from Phil) and circuit breaker. did you guys go with a Blue Sea breaker? those seem to be in the $60+ range, and I'm looking for something more affordable that will work. any suggestions?

Look around BlueSea can be found for ~$40. I do know a few guys trying/testing the less costly breakers found on Ebay and the likes. At this time I dont have any experience or feedback to feel good about recommending them.

To tell you the truth, and i'll probably upgrade to something else later, I am using an inline AGU 60 Amp fuse. I do have spares in the glove box though. But so far so good.
It was left over from sound system installs and works, so it'll do for now.
Is this the breaker you guys are talking about using? This one is waterproof, whereas the 285 series is only weather resistant.

Bussman makes a nice version - avail in 85/ 120 and 200 amp varieties I used it for my dual batt setup and have one on standbuy for the Compressor ( Viair in my case ) and 1500 watt inverter......
Can't wait for the mount to arrive and get this project done..... I'm using a Dekka 2ga all copper Jumper cables set to run the power back

I have been using the 285 series for a few years without any issues.
