Balls of Steel my friend, Balls of Steel.....out of a 25 axle. Temporary, trust me.

You may have just started a new trend there Phil! IF I bring the 45 to Moab, she'll be sporting a pair. They will no doubt send out a mating call only heard by other ball joint cruisers!

Finally got time to post some photos. Your first carb broke the record for most crud in ANY carb I've worked on!

Of course, the lighting was all wrong for the 'after' shot, but you get the idea!

Yep, this one is going to Moab...on a trailer...

You might have noticed there were no pics of the behind, this is because of a huge growth back there, shameful. I took it to the welder today and had no less than 70 pounds of steel removed. The rear frame crossmember had been cut out and replaced with this C-channel...it will be replaced someday with a stock piece.

I was thinking about sticking some reflectors over the turn signal holes...

I'm not running out of things to do but the list is a lot shorter. Master cylinders are at Whitepost, make a new brake line, hook up horns, sprinkle sacred waters on the front axle...and other little stuff.

Yup...reflectors I think would be the quickest 'patch'.

How's she driving?

Phil, that's pretty funny about the rear end, I remember asking for pictures of the rear too!.

Not that you need anything else to do........................but make sure that the emergency brake works. They work pretty well..............when they work........

Hey Phil, Is that one of my T-birds in the poser shot?

PM reply!
No Gene, that's an old 'bird, the white one will be sporting one of yours.

Master cylinders are in. Brake lights work, turn signals work, incredible.

Hey Phil! Are your balls back in...................

your axle?

:p

Still 9mm on those lines?

Best I can tell the fittings are 11x1.0mm with a 12mm wrench, except for the line from the brake master to the distibution block on the right front frame rail. It is 13x1.25mm with a 14mm wrench. These fittings are very very close to the 7/16x24 with a 7/16 wrench and 1/2x20 with a 1/2 wrench fittings on the pre-made tubes found at NAPA, and I have pulled these bodged lines off this red one.

That looks great!!! :clap::clap::clap:

To think you got this going in Jan, and now it looks, and sounds like it's ready to go. She looks really nice! Any chance we can get a short video of her in action?

Now that you are on a roll...not to take anything away from red...I can't wait to see you continue on the white one

Early, simple solutions to "Cruiser Lean" were often the best. Please note that in the vast aftermarket for 25 springs there is no "A" or "B", no "+" or "-" sides...:hhmm:

Maiden voyage into town today! Max indicated speed was 55, wind noise exceeded engine and trans noise so all must be well. One happy glutton for punishment right here
