So Phil does this mean your not bringing an empty trailer to AZ after CM08? So are you towing the 60 and the 25 on your trailer since the 25 won't be going on any runs. What the date for that anyway? I won't be able to make it unless I get my old house emptied out and on the market by then.:bang: My new empty garage isn't so empty anymore:frown: I was counting on you and a few others to help me out.

Big day today!! The red one moved under it's own power for maybe a quarter mile! I was even able to lock up 80% of the brakes....on ice... Still lots of stuff to be done, but there is one more 25 alive in the world:cool:

In my best Fox Voice: "Umm I forgot my camera I was busey batteries low bad lighting nobody was at the shop to let me in this is all just a giant hoax I will post some just after you loose interest"

Hey Mike, no worries, sh*t happens

Well you beat me Phil, mine still hasn't fired or moved under its own power. Maybe Easter Sunday. :hillbilly:

I just couldn't stand having an operable 25 so I took it apart again. Can't fathom the complex maze of wires so now it is the brakes. The PO found a real close match for the oem wheel cylinders but bodged some of the lines. Hope to find an application for these cylinders. We'll find out in a few hours...

What did you do.....................wax it?

Did you find a casting number on the cylinders...............used to be able to cross those............ages ago.

Had to clean up the mess on the floor from the rear brakes and turn the rig around, sure is nice to drive it . Not waxed, just leaned on alot

Casting number is 8304GF 6 When I was at CarQuest we looked through the big picture book and matched up a picture, app is 51-55 Chev car and truck, but the cylinder that arrived did not look the same (but would work I'm guessing).

The cool thing about the wheel cylinders that came on the rig is the 7/16x20 threaded hole. When these are used in the front positions the Toyota hose fits right in (with a copper washer to seal), no adapter needed. When in the rear positions a 7/16x20 to 7/16x24 adapter may be used, and since I had to fab new lines one end is 7/16x24 ond the other end is 11mmx1.0 to the stock "T" block.

I was toying with the idea of using a 7/16x20 banjo bolt in the rear, this would allow the use of the stock rear line to the GM cylinder...nothing suitable was available, and I dont think a stock banjo bolt could be rethreaded...

Or just update the whole thing with new modern lines and stuff....not near as much fun.

Aaahhh, thanks for the photos

She looks real nice and clean! So what's left besides the front seat?

Oh, all kinds of stuff to do. Still in the sorting out shtuff phase, digging parts out of the pile as required. Hope to move on to the breaking of the weak link phase soon though

Looks great Phil!! glad to see it out and about. Hows that patrol?

Hows that patrol?

Oh for cryin out loud! You trying to make me feel bad just as I start to feel good? I started it a while back and noticed the brake fluid had drained out, and Patrol brakes are even more unobtanium than the 25s...
