Well not really sure how I found myself here, but we’re here nonetheless!

This particular project literally came out of nowhere, not planned, honestly not even considered!

I’m in the middle of building a FJ45 with a 1HDT via @ClemsonCruiser and a double cab 79 series on an 80 chassis with a brand new 1hdfte @Cruisers and Co and I have another 70 series coming from Joe in the spring…

So the last thing I needed was another project, but I couldn’t pass up this motor from @BiffS

So we connected and I bought it. Rare to find a built motor at a decent price these days. Thought I’d just throw it in the corner for a rainy day.

@BiffS got everything packed up to ship down to Denver when I randomly through out that I didn’t have anything to put it in yet!

So naturally he sent me this:

His shop (Very Outfitters /Cruiser Worx in Canada) builds custom cruisers…who knew!

Well I’m a sucker for a regular cab 79 series so I choose the most expensive shipping option to get the 1HDT down to Colorado!!

We struck a deal and he got to work.

And as if it hadn’t already, everything escalates even more.

I get a build option sheet that dreams are made of…my wallets the limit and @BiffS going to bankrupt me. More to come…we’re deep into the project now.

So we have a lot of unplanned decisions to make…mostly how much I can actually afford 🤣.

Rarely do you get an opportunity to build something as custom as this, so I knew I should take advantage.

@BiffS sends me a text asking how far did we want to go?

Well we went pretty far!!

The motor is already built, but we decided on custom exhaust and an intercooler to keep things happy.

Of course we had to do built axles with Eaton lockers and 79 series brakes, rebuilt tcase with 3:1 gears, method wheels with 35s, Dobinson suspension, new interior with AC, sound proofing, corbeau seats, bumpers, winch and a flat bed!

Here are some more pics!
