Thanks Georg, I'm liking it a whole lot better too. So you're saying that the vent cover is the wrong year? Even if it is, I can bridge the gap with the open-cell one sided foam tape that I made all of the inside gaskets with.

And a big YES for Surf n Turf. The back half will look like it did last year, but we'll be there.

Had a busy week so I didn't get to work on the fender that Butch donated until today. Had to scrape and then wirewheel 1/16" of road grease and dirt under a layer of paint. The top was dented with a bad bondo job, so I had to sand it down and smooth it out again. I'll prime tomorrow and start on the hood.

How are the Mechanicals coming along? Have the newer fuel tank installed, etc?

Mark stopped by and did a little body repair on the rear driver quarter. I wasn't sure if the rear quarter panels off my old LV were gonna work as donors, but now it looks like they might. I'll be cutting and removing the rear quarter panels this week.

How are the Mechanicals coming along? Have the newer fuel tank installed, etc?

The tank is still out. I was gonna wait 'til the cutting and welding is done before re-installing it. Besides the tank, the e-brake needs adjusting, I need extended shackles in the front, the brake lines on the rear axle need to be moved back off the top of the axle, driveshafts need to be lubed, some wiring at the head lights and turn signals after both fenders are in, and just a couple more small things. Not a whole lot left to do as far as mechanicals. The foster's Lager, Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers is just part of working on Cruisers.

How can the front look so good but the back look so bad.

Easy... I haven't done anything to the back before today. It's gonna take a lot of work, but it'll come out clean. Not that he's a body repairman by trade, but Mark has a good eye for where to cut and weld to straighten out some twisted metal.

Was there any rust on your other rig? I remember seeing the new rig's rear. Pretty beat up

The worse part of the rust is in the pic above with the green paint. The passenger side looks great.
