@wngrog I humbly apologize for my grey soft top comment. The white looks good and if you dirty it up right it'll blend properly.

This top is a pain in the ass but what about Cruisers isnt?

I got all the footman loops in. Rivets. Wish I had gone a bit lower

Now I’m installing these damn things. No nuts came with them 🙄. I’m installing these then burning the hole out with a soldering gun

The top will shrink a little with sun and rain

those footmen are hard to judge. Rivets for the win.

I sent pics to Julie at Dirt Road Tops and she said my install job sucked so I came home and stretched it out as much as the frame allowed me to. I’m happy with it and tired of screwing with it.

It’s night and day more pleasure to drive on the highway without the sun and wind beating me up too.

With white shoes you could cut grass in them to wear the new off, I guess with a canvas top one could tie it to the back of a 4wheeler and blast through the pasture to speed up the patina process.

Made a nice little 120 mile loop this afternoon in NE Madison County in the dirt and backroads.

I need to sort out some rattles on the soft top frame but otherwise I’m a huge fan. Especially after I got caught in a short downpour

Just
What's the short loop look like near there? Took the top off today and ready to go for a ride.

Take the Trace to Thomastown and hook a left and after the main town it turns gravel

Just get lost in there

Clean as a green bean.

Then I ran back to the container and dig out the Real Steel bows I’ve had stashed for a couple of months. Those and some Mosley Motors/Holley boxes 😬 (not for Project Patina)

I started putting this jigsaw puzzle together. No instructions 🙄.

I can’t believe this pile was ever that color.

The top shipped today. I’ll be ready for it. More tomorrow
I"m adding the same frame tomorrow that you did here. How did you attach the piece above the windshield? Did you have factory nuts in the holes or just holes. I'd like to use the factory nuts, just have to figure out the size and I'm sure they're metric. The kit comes with rivets but can't see drilling out the factory threads if I don't have to.

Any other tips you have would be appreciated. I'm putting Julie's soft top on it also.

My 68 had the correct holes with Toyota threads. All I did was start in the middle ans attach out to bend the curve to it.

All my tips are a page back when I started installing it. It’s a pain in the ass all around but in the end it’s a good product
