Beno gets super human strength with a Marlboro dangling from his lips

Project Patina has hit a snag. The F motor is dead.

The rear pinion was leaking so we banged out the 48 year old seal with great effort.

I'm putting the 3rd from the front in later.

Good thing I have the Internet a****** 2F to install

PMc and Lou got this baby ready to pull

Oh almost forgot to post a picture of my wife's ass on the Internet.

As for the second pull I'm going to get mine out later after I find a 4 speed. Collect some parts...,in this way too deep to hurry and pay retail for stuff.

Looks like one of those rare hi-po intake manifolds. Should earn some $$$ back on parts.

Do a search for 2F intake manifolds. Compare pics to the intake on yours. Maybe it will work on the replacement 2F?? Ask Rob.

Don't know if the hi-po intake will work with a IA 2F header. Rob will know.

No way that's worth it; find a 4 speed case.

Dibs on the 3 speed bellhousing if you want to sell it.

You are correct. Not worth it.

That said< if anyone is sitting on a 1975 to 83 case I'd love to swap you a 3 speed case. If you ever do a SM420 swap this is the case that is used for the plate adapters

Cleaned up all the s*** we just dropped in place on Sunday, installed the rear shocks and hot the rear axle stripped to the backing plates.

Next step is to strip the front axle and get the non-leaking 3rd out and stuff it in the rear housing.

So @beno and I wailed and beat the hell out of the rear third to get it out. All it has was a pinion seal leak. It's all here.

Does anyone want it for parts or spares? If not Lash wants for art.

All I need is the pinion flange.

Anyone want a nice 4:11 gear set? We had to disassemble to get it out (@beno is a hack and a madman)

It's all there except I'tl need a pinion seal. Leaks.

I talked to @RustyNailJustin and the split case and 4 speed are inbound via Fastenall. Thanks @orangefj45 for the advice.

I prepped the fuel tank area. The cardboard is a template for super thin aluminum that is covering the rust. The OEM fuel tank seals the floor off nicely. Thanks @beno

Thanks Joseph Johnson for converting to discs. I got his old drums and got pick of the litter to rebuild my rear axle. All I need is brake lines and the front third in the rear.

@ntsaint I even PORed the parts that won't be seen
