Mine is a 60 knob. Different thread.

Spent way too much time on this but it's cleaner looking and the gap is closed nicely with a good thick weatherstrip I found.

Jynx, the shifter hits the bench but the bench does not keep it from going into gear.


The elephant in the room is the wiring at this point.

I'll keep patching holes.......

I started in on patching the body today.

This will likely make folks cringe but it's fine for this pile

The rear tub is remarkably solid except for the rear sill. There were some pinholes in the bed but not much.

22 g steel patch

Drill it for 1/4" steel rivets from the top

I put a thick bead of RTV on the patch and snugged it up

After it was on I sealed the top gaps with that steel putty and painted the underside

I wonder if steel putty will rust? If not I'll stain it or something to blend it in after it dries

Happy with my progress. Will be patching the front tub tomorrow.
