Thanks for the sentiments fellas. I finally got back to work on the cruiser this week after going the whole month of May with out even touching it.....I was a little burnt out from the previous 3 months of giving my every free moment to this project. But seeing Marshall near completion on his project got me motivated again!!

A great weight has been lifted off my shoulders now I know she is running...... it will be all down hill from here

Took you long enough. :flipoff2:

Someone has to keep you grounded, can't let you get the big head.

Well if I didn't have to give up a weeks worth of my time to come see your sorry old butt get married I'd probaly already be driving the 40 around by now :grinpimp:

Nice !!!!! I really would like some detailed pics of the rear axle and e brake assy. Great Work Brother. How about a video of the motor running and the smile on your face

If you had finished it before the wedding like you originally said we could have rode to the reception in it. :flipoff2:

All in good time my friend :D Give me a couple of weeks and I will get you what you need!

It's about time for an update..... I have been working steadly since my last post mainly on finishing up the wirring and other bits associated with the new 3FE and routing all new brake lines to the new axles. It isn't very exciting work and not very photogenic either so I don't have anything to show for it.:o

However this past weekend I decided to finish up all the painting. Lots of sanding and priming of impossibly small and awkward parts that were much more time consuming than doing the actuall body itself. Before I do another frame off paint job I am going to buy a sand blasting cabinet as it would have to make the process much more enjoyable...... next on the list is, get the drive shafts cut to length, exhaust and creating a custom wiring harness for my lights, turn signals, etc.

here are the results

Time for a little perspective from the state I found the old girl in the high deserts east of Reno..... to how she was back in March when I started the resto. mod.... to how she sits today

doesn't even look like the same Cruiser anymore but I think that is a good thing........ :grinpimp:

Looking very nice JP.

Thanks Steve, I might actually shed a tear when she gets her frist "trail rash"...... that is the problem with making our old cruisers too pretty you almost can't bring yourself to wheel them anymore

Never! I will always wheel mine. Even if it's just for 5 min.

Cruiser looks great JP cannot wait to see it in person.

I am going to hold you to those words in a couple of weeks..... might have found some new trails to try out

Looking great JP! I kinda miss the old beast trying to keep it going up on the whee with no top ;)
