I'd be interested to see how you make the bows and doors. I've got a '63 soft top FJ40 in dire need of a top and doors.

Don't get over to this forum often John. Just often enough to say.........

RUBITHON IS OVER!!!!

Ahem.

;p

OK--OK I have been working on the frame every night this week, POR day is Sunday, BTW I found a stamping on the frame LR side above where tailpipe exits, never seen one before on a frame 1/4" round withsome insigina, same as the ones on the 25 stock wheels. Film at 11 someday. John

Fair warning...Spy-cam Might be there in a month or so...if I can get out of the hot tub...

We had to change our hot tub to a cold tub. Painted the frame, bare axle housings, leaf springs, and bell housing today. John #3

Any stalls in the Pardi Land Cruiser emporium available yet? I can't wait to see the POR'd frame. You always use the can style powder coating on my stuff..

Hey Hangtowncruzr,Rat70fj and 65swb45, Thanks for the KICK IN THE ASS ! Hangtowncruzr and rat70fj should not be taking up space in the shop for awhile, Mark saw a preview that even my camera man FJnotCJ has not seen of the progress on the OLD FART. too bad brake drums will soon hide the beautiful backing plates, wheel cylinders, and brake shoes. I did use FJ40 brakes, they sure look better than factory. I'm not trying to tease, I just don't know how to take dig. photos and download them. My forte is in building and driving Toyota 's not writing and filming. John

Thanks for letting me horn in on your garage a bit, front gravelmaker spring hangers, ps plate, and bumper brackets Done!

Now back to work on the 25, say the word and I'll take or help you with pic's

Keep moving..............pics of the finished product are good too........;)

Ahh, I see what John is doing now. Thanks for the spy pics Phil.

John you do know your rear output is gonna have a conflict with the crossmember, right? Did you get a transfer/e-brake boot?

I flipped the tubular cross-member up side down and re-welded it back. It clears the parking brake drum now. Still needing a shift/e-brake boot, Got one?

So you did. That's exactly how I thought about the same problem once. I've got a ring, the boot is long gone, I'll post a picture in your want ad.

To paraphrase Algazy,
ahem, Mexico's over, John!
What's the big hurry? You see 40's,45's,55's and all the newer Toyota's around Placerville all the time! You might have to sweat out this piece of history untill I am done. (and I might do Ba ha again in the spring of 2007) You are going this time. ahem
