Wed night was out.. got home and AC at the house was not working at all.. had to clean the coils etc out. it got charged today..
Rumor has it the Dr will be making a possible house call on Saturday morning.
 
Dr's visit now on sunday. apparently he has a sick dodge currently in the office. will try to send camera with physician to document surgery. I did fix a sick mower today! never have worked on a points system before today.. I know i'm not all that old school am i?
 
Dr made a house call last evening at approx 630.. interesting I did not hear the patient fire up only heard the door close once it was on the trailer. Gotta say he's stealth. HOw I could not hear a v8 fire up in the driveway is beyond me.. After he does his magic i will fix a new shifter up and wire up the tranmission wiring to get reverse lights back.
UPdates will occur later this week. Dr does have the camera with him. I'm excited. I have not had a vehicle at the shop in a LONG time! well.. Jobe did a few other jobs for me. Ford clutch and timing belt in Highlander.. But it's not like i just hand off a vehicle to anyone.
Good thing is it's out of my hair and we're doing landscaping this week so i won't be distracted.
 
sounds like it is in good hands. Crossing my finger that it is a valve guide, not a head gasket.
 
I sent her away with a ton of parts.. parting words from the physician other than "DON'T you have a concert to get to" (which was VERY TRUE and I barely made it)

and we'll see if I can work it into the office on tuesday or wednesday. WHich is fine, i'm off all week doing landscaping with Jenn's brother.
ONce she's running well i'll work on other details like a proper auto shifter and reverse lights and neutral safety switch.. Keep in mind i built this thing a while back and have learned many errors of my ways since.. and i'm sure i'll be told of my errors by the dr.

It'd be fun to go get it with Jenn's brother anyway.. I don't even remember what gear levers do what in that thing anymore it's been so long.. I think both backwards are stupid low but really don't remember. It has 2.28 gears on both boxes now instead of 4.7 in one and 2.28 in the second.. At one point in it's life I could not stop it with the brakes in stupid low thus the bigger master.. I'll probably pull off the Cadillac calipers later and build a tcase ebrake for her in the future.

If she needs heads perhaps the dr will order Vortec heads which from my recollection are a pretty much drop in thing. not sure how the intake will work cause I think vortec heads are mounted at a different angle.. Time will tell after the physician dictation and History and physical prior to surgery.

I"m kinda like a kid before christmas tho! And kinda glad it's gone this week so i won't be super distracted..

Also need to redo the air in it.. probably move the dryer to the firewall. have new dryer and expansion valve in the back but wasn't sure if I ever wired up a tach signal to the ac amplifier.. which is bad and causes the compressor to just "RUN" instead of cycle.

I'll try to followup with the physician this weekend. I belive my patient is on medicare/medicaid so the reinbursement is not the same for the office..
We have new landscaping at the house tho! and a dead engineless FJ60 in the garage for chef.
 
Dr called friday. he's prepping for Black hills so we should all hear back after that trip.. Did mention it's getting lots of attention at the shop by onlookers asking about the snorkel.
 
I'm looking forward to seeing it!
 
I"m gonna have to call the Dr see if he's had heat stroke or somethin in dis gosh darn heat wave..
I need a few days to work out possible issues with er..

gonna be a whirlwind. diff gaskets ordered, I missed an oil slinger on the toybox so it was leaking going down the road. part ordered for it as well.. Then just continue to "check" stuff.
She's a LOUD mother.. tires sitting for that long are not happy..
New wiring for headlights ordered and hopefully on way. we'll see what all I can get done beforehand. REALLY need to adjust the prop valve, can't remember if i did that or not yet.
 
Headlights work I think the issue is a ground somewhere in the relay system so ordered an upgrade relay system
Stupid reverse ground system on toyotas I just need to get there before dark

Locker will be a good idea there you can heckle me while I try to install
 
headlight harness might arrive.. hoping to order a tbi chip tomorrow as well to get rid of the egr. splash guard for toybox and diff gaskets should be in tomorrow at molle. most of this stuff can go in at the event. the toybox part needs to go in or the cars behind me will not be happy. rear window was dusted on the drive home.
