I'm now at a cross roads, Marlin Low case gears or possibly the nicest rack I have come across? How about I continue to work OT and get both! Oh by the way I'm selling a brand new still in the box auburn gear hi-performance limited slip for a 2007-present Tundra $450!:D

Love the design, low profile, and looks. A clear winner and a shame I have a rack currently.

I have a test request for whoever has one or box rocket if you have your tent off at dome point. I like my wind cheetah except for the noise (ironic) and the cross bars will contact the roof with a heavy load up top .... Say a spare tire or two Jerry cans together. Most noticeable on washboard road sections.

Anyone care to throw a tire or central load on top of a production model and find some corrugated roads and report back ?

I expect the 80/20 extrusions are stiffer but there is also less clearance.

Maybe not exactly the test you described but I can stand in the center of one of the crossbars and it does not contact the roof. It will flex with that much weight but doesn't touch. I am not a fan of stuff like fuel/water/tires on roof racks. I realize that some have no other option for storage of those items but particularly the fluids add a lot of weight up high that I try to avoid as much as possible. I don't even like having the RTT up there full time. It's a necessity so I needed a rack to work well for that, but I prefer to reserve roof loads for lightweight stuff.

I understand and I'm not a huge fan of large and or awkward items up top for cog purposes but it is however what a roof rack is designed for essentially :D

I hate the tire up top look as it screams 'high school wanna look cool' but its happened whether someone else's spare or my fuel after taking on another vehicles occupants and belongings.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like a non issue especially with production units being taller

So waiting for couple of things and I'm ready to order. Especially that the wife surprised me by agreeing RTT is cool and she wouldn't mind trying it. So my full length roof rack/basket I JUST bought just became obsolete/useless! :bang:

Now the silver lining is I'm getting this awesome rack and RTT once I figure out which one I really want/need/wife approved!

Anyone in socal need a roof rack/basket? https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/sm...-roof-rack-with-gamiviti-mounts-socal.848699/ :hillbilly:

I ordered this same rack and just got it in last week from prinsu design. Dropped it off to be blasted and powder coated dark grey to match my rig. Will post pics when I get it back.

Bump for a great design!

Is anyone one in SoCal need a nudge to get one? I am ordering 2 and the other person backed out so if you want to save on shipping and 5% off then PM me.

has anyone else received on yet? As far as I know I'm the only one with a rack at this point but the more I use it the more I like it. Got loads of compliments on it at Cruise Moab last week.

How much room is there between the bottom of your rack and the ribs on the roof? I'm looking to mount a Front Runner table or something similar in that gap when I get mine.

I'm ready to buy if this is wide enough for my use - does anyone have the dimensions of the cross-bars? I need to figure out whether my gear will fit between the slight lips on each side where they meet the side panels.

A front runner table wouldn't fit under mine but the taller production one might work with a table. Maybe @danadog can post a couple photos of his new one that's the taller height.

Mine should be back Tuesday from the powdercoater and I will install next weekend and post pics. So there will be 2 of us after that with one of these racks :)

Citadel or Danadog, please post up your clearance between the rack and the roof ribs when you get a chance.
