80 Series sector shaft. So the 60030 part number in the post above is...? The price is different between the two P/Ns.
Yes I have read it, and actually, no the specific difference between the two part numbers is not spelled out. Furthermore, the post itself speaks of the 105 sector shaft. Yet the screenshots from the phone a few posts back speak to the 80 sector shaft.80 Series sector shaft.
All this information is in this thread.
Or you could always look up the part numbers yourself.
Thanks @cruiserdanThe original sector shaft has 30mm splines (tapered of course), the 105 has 32mm splines. This necessitates a pitman arm with a bigger hole.
Toyota rarely spells out changes or improvements. They simply say "replace this with that plus one or more other bits." This is known as a "set-supersession" in Toyota-speak, or a multiple substitution with other manufacturers.

Have *you* read the thread?
Besides, most parts sites don't give the application of the part. At least not the ones I frequent. They just indicate availability.
Yup. Saw that one. It makes no reference to 60030 (close, but not that P/N).Please read post 146 on this thread.
No doubt, many of you here are absolute pro's. It's why thousands of the rest of us come to bask in the generous outpouring of your knowledge. That, and to get the coveted double-bird thrown at us. lolInformtion like what I provided above does not come from the manufacturer or cut-rate on-line sellers. It comes from parts professionals with decades of experience that current buyers are not at all interested in paying for.
Hello Dan I saw somewhere here the two plates that go on either side of the frame to strengthen the steering box torque. I've searched so many threads and can't find it. Need the Guru to help this guy. thank you for your time and Knowledge. PS: After visiting the Museum my wife doesn't bother me about my passion. Thank you!If you think the shaft is expensive you should price the complete box.![]()

Hey Rick, I'm swapping in the 105 scetor shaft and want to know if yours came with or with out the adjustment screw. I'm guessing since mine did not, i have to swap it into the new shaft. any tricks to getting the dam thing out? i'be have already un-staked the two locations.I did a rebuild with a friend and it's pretty straight forward. The difficult part is getting all the balls in. I'm wondering what Robbie was so concerned about.
