I’ve been collecting parts for it the whole time. Sticking with my usual “formula” for this one but with a few new to me things. Phillip drove it up last Sunday. He’s a friend of 50 years and he’s so stoked about it. His wife said he hit 75 mph all the way up to my farm in the ole F1.5 / 3 speed ……

The paint is turning out great... well done on all the elbow grease.

What alternator do you swap in to these beasts?

If it’s a 2F with passenger side brackets I’ll add an FJ60 alternator. I may try to dig up the bracket to do that. That way I can eliminate the old external regulator.

Will see.

This am I started making a powder pile and getting behind this grill

Got all the parts I can off to take to power for now then pressure washed it real good. The Goat 45 was a good tow point to get it out of the shop. It really came nice and clean with the Zepp orange and a good wash. I’ll get in there and scrub the blue as best I can

Holy s***.

An F1.5 is a great motor but it does not work very well with an F head without an oil galley. The oiler was just dangling in here.

PSA……if it does not have an oil galley plug it’s a F head. I did not put 2+2 together until I popped that last piece off to take to powder.

This is why you don’t let non Land Cruiser people build Land Cruiser motors

Please remove the rear axle from the B pilar! I am not sure what springs are on that but WOW!

Whatever clown did the bedliner inside did not pull the tank and then the PO left it outside so we have a little hole to deal with.

I’ve got all the stuff that’s getting powder stacked up and headed

That’s really not that bad though. I have an extra trans hump I’m considering having plated in since zinc chromate. Must resist.

Yea. 1” likely. These are 4.25” BS
I got away with 1/4” or 3/8” and moving the bump stops. 1” with the built in wire studs might be decent. I had to use the shouldered tuner lug nuts that pass through the wheel. You might want to watch the powder thickness on the hubs, the 15 52 are pretty tight going on

Yep. Thin wall chrome 19mm deep socket and tuner lugs.
