add mosquito repellent, good flashlights and a lot of water!

If you catch fish, you are going to want some fish batter and stuff to fry them in, don't forget that.

One week warning!

I guess we should talk about meals. Last year we did group breakfasts and dinners, lunch was on your own and portable. I assume we'll do the same this year, so bring something that can be added and shared at dinnertime and we should be good; canned or boxed is fine with me. Or just bring for yourself but please post up your intention.

There is one night to fill for dinner. Anybody wanna step up? Fresh fish is hopeful each day, especially with so many of us wetting lines, but I don't wanna be without a contingency. (FYI Bitter, cold, rainy weather will keep me in the kitchen all day making stuff.)

Eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuits, etc for breakfasts?

Sign Ups:
Mike & Marie - dinner 1/3: big pot of chili
Sarah & John - dinner 2/3: sausage/corn/potato/etc one-pot meal (think low country boil-style)
Sarah & John - breakfast: hash browns, diced ham
Sarah & John - oil, S&P, knives, cutting board, spatulas, tongs, foil, paper plates, 2 large skillets, sheet pan, dutch oven
Sarah & John - dish soap, sponge, spray cleanser, clorox wipes
Eric - 2-burner stove, just in case

Wish list:
Eggs - Eric (can never have enough)
Bacon - Eric (can never have enough)
Sausage
Butter
Biscuits
Dinner Rolls or French bread
Loaf of bread
Vegetables
5 lemons
Coffee/maker, sugar, cream
Paper Towels
Chips
Forks/knives/spoons
Plastic cups
Dessert?
What else do we need???????

Keep in mind that the cabins have nothing on hand. We'll need to bring ALL cookware, linens and towels. They have a stove/oven, table/chairs, twin size beds and a bathroom with shower. There is heat in the cabins. We can obviously share cookware. I think there is a charcoal grill. There is no refrigerator. I can't recall if the water tasted funny last year - might wanna throw in an extra gallon each just in case.

Everybody bring a roll or 2 of toilet paper, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is what I'll bring...

- Coffee (let me know how much we need) - Equal Exchange fair trade coffee, Breakfast blend
- Paper Towels (6 pack)
- Chips (I'm going to get large bags of kettle chips and Regular Lay's)
- Plastic Cups
- Lemons (5)
- Dessert
• Entenmann's Raspberry Danish
• Entenmann's Doughnuts
- Toilet Paper (12 pack)

If you guys have any special requests about the above, let me know.

Also, if no one steps up for a missing meal, I can do a dinner.

Assuming that there is power to the cabin, I'm guessing there is, I can bring my big ass grinder to grind coffee.

i've never stayed on one, always camped, but talking to the guys when waiting on the ferry they said they do have power and a bathroom.

They have power,and bathroom

A note about the coffee: I can bring half a pound or a whole pound depending on how much coffee people drink. I drink a fair amount of coffee.

The biggest unknown is brewing the stuff. Right now I have a two French presses, one 6 cup and one 8 cup. The 8 cup press is glass (which I intend to leave at home), and the other press is my camping press.

Does anyone else have a press or a machine that they want to bring?

I don't drink coffee but Sarah will.

For all of you going on this trip, I hate you all. I will be sucking cold wind in NY while you will be living life.

Seriously, hope you have an awesome time, post lots of pics and be safe (but wild as hell). Hoping to do join you one of these years. If my trip is changed, I may drive up, but 90% doubtful.

I know this is The last moment but if anybody wants to go ,but not drive I have an empty seat

Anybody else want to go? Looks like there's room in the cabins and even a ride if you need one.

Ryan and Ashley still camping or want to stay in a cabin?

It's coming quick and I'm really looking forward to this trip.

Didn't you buy some Dune Grapplers? Where better to try them out?

They're 7/8s worn out and my new tires haven't shipped from NJ yet :(

Out of curiosity, what PSI do you air-down to for sand crawling?
