That second picture is not comforting.

We'll hate you, too.I'm going to have to drop out guysI have no PTO left at work after a vacation two weeks ago and need highway tires for moonshine before a trip like this, so I'm out
Please take lots of pictures. I'm going to hate myself for not going.

Wait, don't you feel some stomach pains or something coming on about next Thursday AM? Sick days. Use 'em or else 'em.
This makes sense, looking at the satellite image. Thanks for confirming. It's actually hard to get to the sound side, except for two places... first is at the ferry landing. Second is the south side, if you want to walk around the tip.. you really need a kayak or something to take full advantage of the sound side.
John V - picked up my Coastal fishing license today for $7. Not sure if you were up yet last year when Marie and I saw the 2 guys cleaning all the fish near the bath house they had caught the night before. They had went SOUTH of the cabins right on the canal to the intercostal waterway. The area that you can cross at low tide to get to Cape Lookout which BTW might be a fun excursion for one day. It was just after sunset and they said the tide had just changed but I'm not sure if it was going in or going out. They had at least 2 dozen real big ones, more than the legal limit I bet.Sean, Shandor and I are all fishing this year. Pretty sure Eric will, too, once we teach him how to cast. I printed out the tide chart and am getting my tackle in order this week. Has anybody fished the inland side of the island? I just realized that I never even saw that side last year.
@SeanLX Would you be willing to help us out with tuning our CB's on this trip? I think it's just Eric and me.
