The tent stayed at 58-60 inside, 42 outside, not bad once I figured out where and how to place it. Heater Buddy went through 2 bottles of propane, so $7 to heat the tent wasn't that bad. And the views..... So worth it.

Morris Marina grill. DO NOT EAT BEFORE YOU GET HERE. That was my mistake, didn't know this place had awesome food!

I had a great time on the trip with everyone. I've got some photos to share that I shot during the trip. My apologies for these being out of order. More photos to come.

In case nobody mentioned it yet, the weather was about as perfect as could be expected for the middle of November. Both cabins even ran the AC one night. Wearing shorts and wading in the ocean was NOT really something I thought I'd be doing - I was lucky to have tossed them into my bag at home. Nighttime got a bit chilly and windy but wasn't too bad. Shandor slept in his truck 2 nights and didn't even use the dogs for heat.

We officially declared Marie's chili stew a tradition. Great last year, better this year.

The shaggy bathmat I bought for the front door will be a must-have item going forward. A stick vacuum will be nice to have next time. It was nuts to sweep thoroughly and then do it again 5 minutes later and get another pile of sand. We decided the broom handle was filled with sand that released a little bit with every sweep.

A guy on the ferry told me that last years fishing was the best in 15 years but this year was the worst in 20. We didn't do too well, and the people we saw catching were reeling in lots of puffer, skate and small drum. I got some of each of those. I never saw a keeper drum leave the water. On Friday, I ate a skate for lunch that I had just caught. Eaten out of anger, mostly.

Some of the guys in the next cabin ate a bucketful of puffer and claimed it was the best thing in the sea.

Sean and I saw the biggest/fattest raccoon I've ever seen climb up the cabin stairs Friday night. We found lots of their tracks near the sound side water this morning.

great pics. Looks like you all had a great time. It sure is hard to leave that place; it always feels like you get into the super relaxed mood finally and then it's time to catch the ferry back to reality.

Fire last night, coldest night

I put the headphones on, and that reminded me of more than one beach party I was at in my younger years.

It is true that time slows down on the beach, as proven by the that real time video.
