I'm impressed @ weight - but then again I do the "better safe than sorry"-thing where I default to using 1/4 plate in a lot of what I make - I swear the only time I see .125 wall is when I still overbuild with 1.5-2" box tube.

I'd do well working in the Abrams tank plant, but would suck in aerospace (ironically I used to work for a Boeing contracter)

---I just know my bed with the hinged walling & gate would have added weight over stripping off the cabin & flooring -gauge thickness metal.

Great job!

---Since I too didn't read every post, did you bob anything off the framerails, or did you keep as much as possible to do as big a ute bed as possible?

i mounted up an old set of IPFs to serve as Hi Beams. And had an idea when i saw some of my leftover woven wire that i used for the grill. So i started to cut some strands out and bent the first one into a square :

This build reminds me of a great old song. Imagine trying to get insurance on this pig.

Everything else was sort of "wow that"s cool" but the light guards on the spotties - friggin cool! Love it!

Lady in Prius was giving me an ear beating about my Hybrid sticker. I explained to her that she would have to get 2-3 million miles out of that Prius of hers to offset all the carbon /chemicals and fawked up energy that went into making that shiny Prius of hers compared to me REUSING a 20 and 40 year old vehicle which will likely outlast her Prius that definitely wont see even 250k miles. I told her that when she looks around at all the old/ restored 40+year old vehicles.......that those people are all essentially offsetting Prius owners heavy carbon footprint. :)
That's actually a really good argument.

But what did she say?! I bet she didn't get it.

i could see her brain was struggling to come to grips with the fact that she wasnt as " green" as she thought she was being.
